The North Mountain 5 gal water jug is made from a medium thick (perhaps a bit thin), clear, odorless(!) plastic. It's of a traditional design - big cube - with a traditional type plastic spout. We've used it through one camping season and it held up well, although the quality of the materials makes me doubt that it's a multigenerational piece of equipment: it's probably good for a few years, and for $20, that's not bad!

OMG I love this container, been looking for weeks trying to find a compact, kinda sheer, with a spigot 5 gallon horizontal container where I could easily see when detergent is low. The handle made it easy to store on a shelf jst above the washer. Definitely looking forward to getting 3 more. No more little bottles of dishwashing liquid, soap, or detergent. Love this container dispenses easily.Updated it leaks, but nothing some plumbers tape couldn’t fix.

The North Mountain Supply 5 Gallon Vented Plastic Hedpak/Carboy has been a game-changer for my detailing business. These large containers allow me to store bulk quantities of my preferred cleaning solutions like car shampoo and degreasers, ensuring I always have enough on hand for any job. The included faucet makes dispensing solutions a breeze, whether I'm refilling spray bottles or using them with pressure washers or foam cannons. What's even better is their portability; despite their size, they're easy to transport, perfect for my mobile detailing operations. Plus, their durability and leak resistance give me peace of mind, knowing I won't waste costly products or risk damaging surfaces due to leaks. I'm extremely impressed with their performance and reliability

This is a good container to hold liquids. I have purchased this item earlier and was very happy with it. However, container I ordered this time leaked at the lid. Amazon sent a replacement and it also had the same exact issue. I noticed that the mouth of the container was not lining up with the lid. It looks like this batch of containers may have had an imperfect mouth during manufacturing.I did not want to return the replacement container as I needed one to store liquids. I shaved off the mouth of the container (took some time) and was able to fix the leakage.

I bought this jug to store water from my reverse osmosis filter. It has a self venting valve that works fairly well. The vent is sealed and has a cap which is a bit silly but if you drill the vent it works much better.I use this hole to fill the bottle with clean water and then put the plastic cap back on for use.Made in Canada so thats a plus too.

Leaks from the cap, can't leave it on it's side even while using the spigot. Makes it.. pretty much useless
