I got my grinding wheel used and never knew a dressing stone was necessary. I've had it for years and really only use it sparingly, mainly to sharpen my mower blades. I never even knew which of my wheels were coarse and fine, they were always full of impurities. After running this on them for a couple minutes it makes a world of difference, I can easily see which is which. Highly recommend one of these!

I like the size and shape of the stick. Aggressiveness of the dressing action seems just right. I used it to clean and square-up two very old wheels, and to true a pair of brand new wheels. The old wheels look like new now, and the new wheels run quieter and smoother.

I'm old school when it comes to mechanical, electrical and things you will find in a home garage/shop. Cleaning tools and keeping them sharp and in good working order are you best bets for longevity. This tool keeps my grinder wheels in great condition and is easy to use, easy on your wallet. Don't forget your safety glasses.

Following the simple but clear instructions I trued the grinding wheels on my 30 year old bench grinder. Vibration was dramatically reduced, but not totally eliminated. Then cleaned both wheels that were so clogged I mostly just produced heat when grinding. One wheel cleaned up great and the new grinding action is fast and cool. The other wheel did not seem to clean up as well and grinds less aggressively, but it may be a finer abrasive. I was too lazy to take off the guards to read the labels. I only used this thing for 5 minutes. Perhaps a little more time would improve the results. I would definitely recommend this product as a simple and quick fix.

It works to finish off a wheel square, but not to true a wheel that has grooves or out of balance. I tried multiple configurations to get a wheel true, but this just did not have the cutting ability to true an out of balance wheel.

I bought this as I could not get hold of an industrial diamond wheel dresser. Most come from China and take months my last order never arrived!However I purchased the dressing stick and it’s ok does the job.
