I’ve used a lot of this throwline over three years and love it. I’ve had one spool of it in the trees out in the weather for three years holding up a ham radio antenna with no problems. Dyneema is strong, lightweight, low stretch, abrasion resistant, low friction, and UV resistant.

We used it for a arborist throw line. We like it's strength to weight, flexibility and low friction when sliding over branches. No cons at this point. Definitely does the job

Very strong line that will not get permanently stuck. It can tend to snarl but slips out of bad throws with great force applied.

This throwing line is strong and slick and is excellent for throwing a throw bag into a tree.

I am strictly a hobbyist, using throw weights and lines to make temporary installations of wire antennas in the field. Probably due to my lack of skill and experience I haven't been able to get as much height as I'd like using a 12 ounce weight and 1/8 inch polypropylene line, so I decided to switch to an 8 ounce weight and this 1.75 mm Dyneema line. Wow, I'm able to get quite a bit more height with this line, and I'm impressed by how well it "flies". Once my weight hits the ground the line keeps sailing through the tree for quite a few more feet, piling up on the ground with the weight. After taking the new line off the roll I did stretch it out. For my particular application I need something very compact, so I no longer use my Weaver throw bag. Instead, I coil the line in a figure eight pattern ("thumb and pinky method"), then when I get into the field I "flake" it down on a small tarp, attach my weight, and throw. (You can find several examples of this technique on YouTube.) Using it that way I find that the line is stiff enough that it still exhibits evidence of the figure eight bends, so it helps to smooth it out a bit while paying it out onto the tarp. Also, 120 feet is plenty for my application so I cut off 60 feet of line and put that aside for any other application needing a small, strong line.

Great throw line for pulling big rope into trees, doesnt stick to branches and after several shots with notch bag launcher, it lost its coiled memory and worked much better.
