In alot of the jobs I do the limbs are slightly out of reach of a chainsaw and climbing is a pain to get all the gear out for a couple of limbs so the polesaw is the go to, and the number 1 criteria is fast cutting. The Notch works great for this. I have cut oak limbs up to 8 inches...it wasn't fun but it did it. The saw shines on 1 to 3 inch limbs that are fairly stiff smaller stuff tends to shake with the saws movement. The thickness of the blade resist kinking, but this can have a downside in close spaced limbs were the blade may not fit between them. Blade sharpness last a good while too. I don't think you will go wrong with this purchase, and don't forget the scabbard with this thing or it will remind you, ask me how I know lol.

I bought this blade to replace the cheap one on my Fiskars polesaw. I did need to modify it to fit. Hard steel, so use good cobalt drill. This is a high quality wicked sharp blade. In fact, so sharp that it instantly grabs the wood, so cutting small 2" branches can be difficult as the blade digs in and just pulls on the branch. Not really an issue, just know that smaller branches need stabilized if you want the saw to cut through them.

My blade on my notch pole saw still worked after a few years but had some deposits and corrosion. New blade perfect fit, easy change and is so sharp makes my palmetto tree trimming much easier

My old Craftsman pole saw is impossible to find a blade for. This one was close. Only needed to add one hole for a good fit. Cuts great .
