Smells bad, but very good noise insulation

I bought 12 of these moving blankets. They are fine and do the job. I also bought the large rubber bands in different sizes to secure the blankets on furniture. Those rubber bands are very, very handy. We used all 12 of the blankets, and for me, that was just right. Make sure to order enough of the blankets for your moving job, as you don't want to come up short. It's better to have some left over than to need more and not be able to wait for another shipment. I do recommend these moving blankets.

These are decent size and durability for moving blankets. Made of recycled trashed fabric is a great use of waste and it does the job. Just like chipboard or plywood the binder will have a smell but it does tone down once they air out a bit. Your not serving dinner to guests on them, your protecting items from damage most likely a handful of times you'll own them. Thinner than pro mover brands but decently durable. I tried to cut a few sections off with a very sharp pocket knife and it was a task. Tear resistance is good and friction resistance also seemed to hold up well for the move.Overall: Great filler pads for most items but I would save your few heavy duty thick pads for expensive items or heirlooms.

I ordered these packing/moving blankets for, believe it or not, a simple way to cover the ceiling in my basement that would be easy, give me a bit of sound proofing space and an interesting look. I ordered from this company because their price was a bit better that their competitors and they were the larger size. There was a mix up with the Fed Ex shipping and my order was sent to the other side of the country. NO fault of the seller, and they quickly fixed the problem for me by rushing a second shipment to me. It only took a couple of extra days, and they were exactly what I expected. When the project is finished I will add photos!

Very nice set of moving blankets but had a strong petroleum/blacktop smell. We had to open up and air them out for a few days before we could use.

Why buy a bunch of bubble wrap for larger fragile items when these can be reused over and over again? Bubble wrap is ecologically damaging and toxic as it can take hundreds of years to disintegrate once it's disposed of.These blankets are perfect if you don’t want to be a terrible person and need an extremely useful tool for moving. It’s thick enough to protect the object, but malleable enough to cover it properly. The picture has all my framed paintings and mirrors.

Product insert says "There may be a light odor when unpacking. Please put the pad in a ventilated place to give off the odor." The odor was minor when I opened one of the blankets, but I didn't want odor transferred to my furniture so, following product instructions, opened 3 of them and put them in an unused room with the windows opened, went out and closed the door. I awoke during the night and the odor had permeated the house and was burning my nose and throat. (There is the usual small gap under the door.) Hopefully I removed them from the house before any permanent health-damage occurred. Hours later I can still taste the chemicals in my mouth and throat and have a headache.
