It done the job the way it was supposed to! Very sharp. I had to re-thread my hot water tank for the anode rod in my RV.

I cannot attest to the durability of this tool. However, when I needed it to make an emergency cross-thread repair on a pipe joint, it saved my day. Reaming and cutting damaged thread is a breeze with this tool. It is tapered to assist threading in, and then I just use a crescen wrench to cut the damaged threads. Works great !!

Hard to wax poetic about things like this. It is what it purports to be. A 3/4" x 14TPI National Pipe Thread tap.The tap appears to be made well, and the cutting splines are sharp and look to match up very well with my known quality U.S. built quality tap from the golden era of U.S. machine tools.Time will tell how good the metallurgy is, but I suspect this tap will be great for cleaning out rough, burred up NPT fittings and elbows. It'll do double duty for me, cleaning up and chasing out PVC NPT parts that sometimes get boogered up by abusive mis-threading.Looks good, feels hefty, dimensions look right. Five stars.

Solid tap. Has a flat bottom if you are working with something shallow. Stands up to some serious punishment.

I would not use this tap to start a thread but it is adequately sharp enough to cut existing threads deeper. Tapping fluid is essential.
