After trying several Chinese brands that turned out to be rejects, I paid a few cents more for a good US brand.I used the transistor to make an audio amp for a home made vacuum tube based regenerative receiver. This allowed the use of normal headphones instead of a piezo based set.It is used several hours/week at full output at its voltage max with no issue.
