There is no 12-24.It is uncommon for me to need (or measure) this size though.Convenient, helpful and accurate as most of these kits are.The case has hinges and proper latches. The foam fits securely and the pieces are clearly labeled. The yellow color means that the kit will not get lost in a dark garage setting in a sea of other black tool containers.

I find all these items pricey for their few uses, but its a needed item, and these were better priced than the others, especially the goofy glued to board items. These seem solid, in several uses, no stripping. Threading is accurate, tho not tried them all yet, but more than half. Good product.

The metric thread gauges (for lack of a better word) are black and the english are silver, very easy to identify. I also wanted steel gauges not aluminum. Although steel is less colorful than anodized aluminum, bright colors like blue and red were not important to me. Steel is much more durable and resistant to wear and crossthreading. The case is well designed and high quality. The hinges and closures have real hinge points not flexible plastic that will break after repeated use. The individual gauges are well marked, as are storage positions. Although the same small font necessary to label the small sizes is used on all. For those with degraded eyesight or in dim light it may be difficult for some to read with the naked eye. I am 71 with weaker eyes and I can read in normal light but you have to look closely. The small font used on all is necessary on the small gauges. There are two sets of markings on the storage box and both are very easy to read, so if you keep the gauges stored properly you will not have any problems. Overall this item very well thought out.

I ordered this thread gage kit to replace the “string of pearls†type gage because it’s somewhat unwieldy and tends to come apart while using. This kit simply replaces the “string†cable with a durable case and a panel board that holds each size gage individually. This allows for much greater mobility for sizing male and female threads. This kit has both SAE (inches) and metric gages. And each size graduation is clearly marked on BOTH the holding panel and each gage.

I have not used any of these yet. If they get used in the future and break easily, I'll come back here and update my rating.There seems to be some confusion over whether these are made of steel or aluminum. They are 100% made of steel. I attached a picture of two of the gauges stuck to a magnet.For anyone wondering, the top lid is removable. I stored it in my roll cart with the lid off for convenience.

Very happy to receive this gauge very quickly as I needed it to match up a bolt that i had stripped on my snowmobile. Neighbour and I had tried everything to repair bolt beforehand to no avail. Once I received this, I was able to confirm that it was what I thought it was and was able to do the die repair after that. I am really happy I purchased this particular set and I have a feeling the neighbours will be borrowing it from me. It is well built and the pieces stay in their place so as to not be all over the place.

This kit is very nice, convenient and portable. Just pick up the kit and bring it to the work area to size up the threads. I do many repairs but is very useful on small engine repairs which have many metric and sae fasteners. Should have purchased this a long time ago.
