This crepe maker works great! I like having something with a low edge to cook them on because crepes are delicate and it can be hard to work my flipping tool underneath in a regular frying pan. The tools that come with this crepe maker help make my crepes more perfect than ever before. The spreader tool does exactly that. It spreads the crepe to an even thickness, helps to get the thin delicacy that I like and spreads the batter into a perfect circle. The wooden spatula works well for flipping, better than a large spatula because I can get it all the way underneath the crepe. The surface is non-stick. I like to rub an oiled piece of paper towel over the surface but one could probably get away without oil. I barely use any and my crepes don’t stick. As for the heat, I worried that it might be uneven, but it cooks evenly and gets plenty hot. I was cooking at 3/4 heat and my crepes were cooking in about a minute. All the way up was too fast. I like how easy cleanup is since the cooking plate is removable. Would be great for pancakes and omelets as well but I’ve only used for crepes so far. It’s a handy appliance to have.

We really enjoyed this crepe maker. Previously, we had a pan that we used on the stovetop. It worked fine, but this appliance worked much better. We got beautiful crepes and they were easy to make. The biggest challenge we had with the stovetop was maintaining the right temperature. After a couple of crepes, the pan would inevitably heat up and become too hot. We’d burn our crepe and have to set the pan aside for a few minutes to cool down before continuing. We didn’t have that problem with this crepe maker. The temperature remained even and we were able to make crepe after crepe with no problem. Although my kitchen space is limited and adding another appliance challenged my space, it is well worth it. It is small enough to fit in the cabinet and the results make it a worthwhile purchase. If you love crepes, this is definitely something you should purchase.As a side note: in making crepes, most recipe directions instruct you to simply mix the wet ingredients with the dry. Because there is more wet than dry, simply pouring them together will result in lumpy batter. For those of you struggling with getting a perfectly smooth batter, mix only half the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk the batter until smooth. Then slowly add the remaining wet ingredients as you mix to thin it out. This makes a beautiful batter every time. Enjoy!!

Recently I took it upon myself to start making crepes once a week for breakfast for the family. It was and had been an instant hit. But when I started, I had to always use an old flat electric griddle I had. Took some practice but kinda worked, until it broke. With no other tool to cook them with, I had to resort to a new non-stick pan I bough for $40. It would just burn my crepes left and right. So I finally caved and bought this crepe maker from Amazon. It was, without a doubt, the best kitchen product purchase I’ve ever made. Making crepes now it’s not only seamless, fast, and simple, but quite fun too. I love that it came with the spreading tool as well, before I was using the bottom of a ladle, but with the included tool, it is so perfect and a breeze! Best of all, it’s how easy it is to clean. I honestly just take a damp paper towel and clean it in just 30 seconds! It is so great!But before you think crepes is all you can make here, think again! I am now using it to also make pancakes, and they’ve never came out more perfect than this. Never burnt, always nice golden brown! Honestly, this is a must buy product!

My daughter is into making crepes and asked me to get her a crepe maker. I found this product on Amazon not knowing what to expect and bought it. She has been using it everyday and love it. It doesn’t stick, and it’s compact enough that I can store it in my pantry. Love it so far
