I’ve been slowly adding kitchen appliances with various functions over the years and by now I think my husband is getting a little suspicious about where all our counter space is going but he certainly isn’t complaining about all the wonderful food I’m able to cook because of it! This detachable cooktop has just been one of the newest additions to our little kitchen family. It’s non-stick as well as detachable for easy cleaning. Perfect for cooking on the countertop and with a 12 inch diameter, perfect for cooking a decent amount of food as well. One of my favorite things to cook on it are crepes, especially since it comes with a batter spreader and spatula for easy flipping and perfect crepes every time. So much can be cooked on this appliance but it especially reigns supreme when it comes to breakfast. If you’re ready for out of this world omelets or sunny side up eggs, this is your top pick!

So much fun to be able to make your own crepes at home. Having a specific hot plate makes it so much easier. You can easily adjust the temperature and you def want to give it time to heat up first and then I turned it down once hot. The red power button is always in and it will only light green once to desired temperature. I also sprayed with a non stick oil as suggested in instructions which helped. Def took me a few times to figure out when and how to spread the mixture with the wooden tool but after a few goes it’s so easy and fun to do. Great that the hot plate can be completely removed which makes cleaning very easy. We love crepes as a family and this makes it such a fun activity to do together and come up with toppings and flavors so we’d recommend!

Takes a bit of practice to get good at but it works well. The trick is letting it warm up for several minutes before adding batter. I mangled and had to toss my first one but it was fine after that. I liked that I didn’t have to add oil. The pan was non-stick enough on its own to not need oil. It is possible to use the entire surface for a huge crepe. I make mine slightly smaller for ease of getting the spatula under to flip. I like that it came with a spreader tool for evening out the thickness of the crepe. That makes a big difference to how delicate I can make them. Worked well for me. Cleanup is easy since the pan is removable.

The only good thing about this crepe maker was that the top comes off for easy cleaning. The instruction booklet did not match the unit. The instructions told us to turn it to “max†but our settings were “clear†and “dark.†It took forever to heat up and then it was so hot it scorched the crepe. This is going back.

It took us a very long time to make 4 crepes because the heating element starts out hot and cools way down; then you have to wait for it to heat up again before finishing making a crepe. The cooking surface is detachable and it wobbles.
