FINALLY - AN ERGONOMIC BACKPLATE The classic back plates design history dates back to what could be cut out of an old road sign. For the first time since then we have looked properly at the ergonomics and anatomy of the back. The redesign has created a plate that is better in every respect. Enlarging the upper part of the back plate has achieved better weight distribution during the dive and removes load from the lumbar region. The lower plate design, spreads the load comfortably safely allowing for the optimal attachment of weight pockets and accessories. Last but important improvement, V-shaped crotch strap The NX Series harness is equipped with totally new V shaped crotch strap. The V shape is more comfortable, eliminating the single strap design running directly between the legs. Whether walking with your gear to jump in or scootering around a reef, you will feel the very direct benefit. SIZING: Small backplate is perfect for divers below 5' 8" / 175 cm of height. Large backplate is for divers above 5' 8" / 175 cm of height.

Received back plate and wing BCD. Wasn’t sure how easy it was gonna be to set up being my first pack plate and wing set up. However, set up was easy and got adjusted and dialed in to my initial comfort. Took it out for its first dive and was very happy. Felt very stable on the surface of the water floating. No issues with typical back plate and wing complaints of filling like it was pushing you forward. While on the dive, the BCD felt natural and comfortable. Didn’t feel that it was rolling me in One Direction or another while maneuvering or changing positions tank felt very secure. now that the straps are wet, and I’ve had a chance to dive with it just need to make some minor adjustments to strap lengths for final comfort and fit. All in all, I am very happy with the performance of this BCD.On a second note, I would like to thank the vendor. As initially when I unboxed the BCD, I thought I was missing a cam band. I contacted the vendor they responded promptly to make it right. However, it turned out that while I was not looking, my daughter, decided to grab it and use it as an accessory for her stuffed animals. So I did receive the entire product as advertised with all components, but I am grateful that the vendor was willing to make it right and be very responsible when I thought I was missing a component.

very comfortable and sturdy backplate and wing it was a little hard to figure out the adjustments but after that it fit like a glove and underwater it glides easily and holds you perfectly in any orientation.i love the way the way this bp/w works on the surface once adjusted to your body the bp/w holds you upright like a standard jacket bcd.so if your looking for a sturdy bcd for everyday diving or travel this is a great bcd for any of your needs.

Although the BC is late and I have not received it, I'm thankful for the owner reaching out to me to personally correct it. That's top notch in my eyes, recommended!

I bought one of these this year and find it to be really comfortable and well made. the fit and finish on the aluminum is a real upgrade from the really old standard backplate I was using. I like the fact that it's bigger and wider than a standard one. I am 6'3", 240lbs and with a bulky drysuit and lot's of underwear for cold water diving, the wide base sits really stable on my back. I particularly like the V-shaped crotch strap. It makes the rig very stable and is more comfortable than the standard single one. An added bonus is that there is a D ring on both sides that are easier to reach than the single between the legs strap. With the waist and crotch strap properly adjusted and cinched down, I can have the shoulder straps looser than I would with a standard backplate/harness and I hardly can feel the tank on my back. (using a single steel 95). Speaking of the shoulder strap setup, it is somewhat longer since their connection points are at the very top and bottom of the backplate, making it easier to get your arms in and out of it. I have the model with the clips and rarely use them to get the rig on and off. One or two things I wish the unit included was a scooter D ring in the front (easily fixable) and a set of single tank adaptors.
