Very nicely painted with that matte texture and it is thick, the foam inside it is very comfortable but tight enough for it not to get thrown incase if there is any minimal impact to it.

For the money the helmet is very nice great padding easy to clean and looks great ! I would definitely recommend start at a large and go up they run a little small .
