My feet get cold easily in the winter. Recently getting back into surfing, this is my first winter surfing in NC. Use to in Florida when younger. Naturally, I was super worried about cold feet. Recall when younger it made surfing impossible as you lose all connection with the board. Saw Brett Barley recommened these so immediately ordered back in Oct. Wore a few times before the water got real cold to get use to the thickness between my feet and the board. Surfed good in them, but those temps did not give a fair overall test. Over Christmas I surfed 55 deg water, freezing air temps and wind. Flawless. Feet were toasty the whole time. And the fit was perfect. Recall when younger, perhaps the wrong size or something, but I'd stub the toe of the booties all the time popping up causing wipeouts all the time. Caught 100+ waves in these already and there has not been a single flub of the toe on the pop ups.About the only downside is the spongy nature of 7 mm booties. Feels good walking, but there is some lost connection with the board. I don't notice any real impact on my surfing though. Just something you get use to.Oh, the sizing was perfect. They are super easy to get on. A little struggle to get off, but the perfect sizing for me at least means there is no room for water accumulation. Another improvement from years ago when a flush of the wetsuit would fill up my booties.

Run a bit large. I'm a 9.5 shoe size and I typically buy a 10 in other boots. I bought a 10 in these and should’ve gone w 9. Comfortable and warm but too lose for me.

The length of the boot is correct but I have a narrower foot and because this material is so nice and flexible that creates a problem. By my foot not filling the boot out completely it collects water quickly and sometimes when popping up the boot folds under my foot causing an obvious problem. If you have a narrow foot I’d look for boots with more structural support

they are warm and fit well. close to the middle of the second season, the sole got very thin and lacking in thermal protection. not durable at all.

I only buy O'Neal Products because of their superior construction and durability but these booties are an exception. The second time I used them they ripped, and these aren't cheap booties!

Very warm and comfortable but the sole and bottom neoprene fell apart and split in the heel area after a couple of uses
