Your cart is empty. Traditional popular method of sealing wooden barrels until the wood swells. Made from natural local beeswax harvested by our friends Ruth and John in Southern Illinois. Approximately 3" x 1.5" x .75", weight just about two ounces. Enough for 3 or 4 5L barrels. See leaky barrel process below..
STEPS FOR LEAKY BARREL: Always test the barrel for leaks with water before filling with more precious fluids.
BARREL RINGS: Tighten by gently tapping them snug and even with a hammer or mallet. A hoop driver can be fabricated and used.
STUFF IT: Big holes will need to be stuffed with a splinter of wood or a toothpick. Trim it off and sand down the excess.
SWELL IT: Set in a pan or outdoors and fill with hot water. Keep it topped off and roll around a few days until the leaks stop.
BARREL WAX: Rub wax into leaky area. Melt a little and drip if needed. Stuff it in there good.
