You can't go wrong with Oakfield, I've used mine for over 30 years and it still works great, just change the tip ever few years. I buy one for each of my farm managers

The sampler is well made and works well. I used a threadlocker compound to better retain the replaceable cutting edge.

I love this thing. Im surprised they dont sell them at grow shops! It is a very helpful tool for accurate watering. When the top of the soil seems wet or dry it could be the exact opposite down about 10 inches. This tools pays for itself!

Worked the first time out. Easy to core and remove the core. What else is there? Oh! The tip is replaceable!
