First and for most the quality of this obd connector exceeds my expectations especially the price point. I was able to splice in this connote only using pins I needed and solves my issue. If ever needed will buy again.

My old port stopped working and this fixed the issue. The included butt splice connectors made this job super easy. The new port makes great contact with my OBDII reader and the construction felt pretty solid.Use the old OBDII port as a reference & match each cable with each pin your car uses. Bundle the extra (I used shrink tube) and wrap it all up in electrical tape when you’re all done. That’s it!

Love how this OBD2 harness replacement feels and look. No need to panic when installing this device. There's like two ways to do this job. First, you can splice one wire at a time and use the giving butt connectors to connect the wires from your old OBD2 harness to your new one. Or second, you can t-tap the wires on your new harness to the old one. NOTE: do connect each wire to its correct wire on the new harness. Look online or owners manual to see which wire is numbered to which pin before connecting.

I bought this pigtail to replace the worn one in my 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport. The pins were being pushed out the back everytime I tried plugging in a OBD tester.I cut the cables about an inch, off the back of my old connecter, then, using a soldering iron, soldered the lines needed, along with using shrink tube on all splice points. The new connector snapped right into the old metal cutout just fine, and seems to remain tight.I have plugged a few different OBD-II tester leads into the new connecter and they remain snug, do not push the pins out the back, and appears to work fine. The only reason for the 4 stars, is that the color coded wires are kind of flimsy, and do not line up to any OEM OBD wiring codes. This was somewhat, easily fixed by using a thin automotive dental pick and removing all of the pins on the new OBD connector, then choosing colors that were as close to the OE wires colors. Also, be sure to remove any wires that are not used, as they will make the wire bundle bulky, and, could cause a short to equipment plugged into the connector.

Nice OBD2 pigtail. i only use 2 wire on it to charge up my XTool A30M so the flashlight on it works before use.
