This starter is absolute junk. It had decent reviews. However all the ones that were negative were all the same issue I figured I'd roll the dice because there was a lot of positive reviews but I'm not a gambling Man obviously. I started the unit three times with the starter. The first time I installed it to make sure it worked, the second time my daughter started it to take her sister for a ride, and the third time I started it to take my son for a ride. I was about a mile from the home and I had to readjust his seatbelt so I turned the unit off to adjust the seat belt. As soon as I went to start it it just clicked. My solenoid works perfectly I tap the starter with a hammer absolutely nothing happened. The starter was burning hot to the touch and started to smoke. I do not recommend the starter at all. Thank God I was only a mile from the house my wife came and told us back if I was 5 miles into the trail I would have been screwed
