This might fix it. Find the exposed button looking dial nearish the light bulb. Turn it with your fingers. If it doesn't turn then it's jammed in permanent defrost. You need this part, direct replacement, quick shipping, excellent price

I'd purchased a Frigidaire refrig/freezer in June 2024 (Model LFTR1835VF) only to have it fail within six months. The repairperson explained to me that he'd seen a lot of these failures, due to a faulty defrost timer. He directed me to purchase this replacement part (he had none in hand as they've been backordered) which I was able to install myself (hence my five stars) -- not that complicated. He explained that the redesigned part has the blue dial (as contrasted with the grey dial on the faulty previous part). So I'm hopeful, and really disappointed altogether with Frigidaire and its quality control. If you read the many posts about problems customers have had with this refrig/freezer losing its ability to cool/chill, it's generally about the defrost timer.
