It fit our GE washing machine perfectly! Honestly looks just like the one that came installed on ours a few years ago. Was really simple to put on, too! Only took my husband about 45 minutes on his own, after watching a youtube video. Definitely recommend, instead of buying the pricier on GE's website. **This is NOT a paid endorsement. My product was NOT free, nor do I know the seller in any way, shape, or form. I simply want to spread GOOD information via reviews, because there are so many false and misleading ones out there.**
Maybe I’ll try it

I was getting a slow persistent drip from the bottom of my GE washing machine that left puddles on the ground after each load. After watching a few videos online, I believed the leak to be coming from the gasket that surrounds the door. To make sure I called the GE service, which is now Bodewell, to come out and take a look. Because this is a review of the gasket and not Bodewell I will keep this comment short. Suffice it to say the service was atrocious and turns out they identified a problem that they believed was causing the leak that simply didn’t exist. Terrible. Anyway, I decided to order this gasket on Amazon. It was delivered the next morning and I began the install later that day. I am a complete novice and was following an online video step-by-step. While it probably took me longer to complete the installation than a professional or even someone who is used to taking things apart and putting them back together again, I did manage to complete the task. The gasket fit perfectly and the leak from the bottom of the machine is no longer with us. Success! The only reason I didn’t give this a fifth star is that while the gasket is a perfect fit my front load washing machine my machine has an LED lightbulb that is embedded within the gasket. This gasket had a placeholder for it, but it was sealed. That required me to use an X-Acto knife to break open the seal and force the LED light through the placeholder in the gasket. That made me nervous because I was afraid I would somehow puncture the gasket which would make my dripping problem worse. Fortunately that didn’t happen and the seal works great.

This is not an OEM part, and it differs from the product depicted in the images. Genuine OEM seals include "Protected With MICROBAN" printed on them. The product description misleadingly claimed to be OEM. The efficacy of this seal in inhibiting mold and mildew growth is uncertain; had I been aware it was not an OEM component, I would not have made the purchase. The material quality appears thinner and flimsier than the actual OEM product, raising concerns about its durability. Proceed with caution. However, the installation process is consistent with the OEM part.

I opened up the washer to start the next load and found a big rip in the lining right inside the door! I didn’t even know that it was possible for that to happen! My husband knew just what to order and got it fixed right up!

The title says OEM but it should say it is a replacement part not made by GE. Of course GE is probably Outsourcing the making of this part to the manufacturing facility that produces these. I assume that the plant is producing these rubber gaskets with the same castings in the same facility.

I got this gasket for my GE washing machine. The first thing to note is the price. you are saving $25 buying this gasket than from getting it through GE. When comparing side by side, they look and feel identical. this one does not feel more fragile or cheap. That being said, i am no expert. Warning, you will need to remove quite a bit of screws and completely remove the door, front panel, and control board, so don't proceed if you are not comfortable with that. It does not come with instructions, you have to be comfortable with DIY projects, but it is a 1 for 1 swap. Once i got the original off, this one fit on perfectly snugly. it did, however take a good 30 mins to get the gasket to fit over the lips properly, but you want a snug fit for something like this. Overall, it took 1 hr and 35 mins to complete the project and have the washer functioning again. When the door shuts, it forms a perfect seal and i no longer have any leaks.
