Installed easily on my Global desk chair. Installation would have been even easier if the provided screws had Phillips heads. Concave surfaces on top of the arm pads were not like the more pillow-like shape of the original arm pads, but that is more of an aesthetic rather than functional difference. Seems well constructed with a sheet metal base and plastic foam top and sides. Wider and firmer than the originals. My initial reaction is positive.

I needed a replacement for some arm rests on a chair purchased a couple years back where the end of both arm rests had begun to crack from my arm pressure. I only needed the 4" span, but got this one with both 4" and 5.5" span. From the photos, it appeared the metal plate under the padding extended further than the 4: replacement.It turned out that my assumption was correct. The metal plate is much closer to the front edge, and should inhibit a repeat of the same thing happening.The old arm rests were difficult to remove because it was an Allen-end opening. The hole was positioned close to the support, and getting the Allen-end wrench into the socket was not easy. I could only unscrew the old one for 1/3 of a turn; it took several turns and about 3 minutes to get each screw loose. That's 6-7 minutes per side.These replacement arm rests had Philips-end screws. There was slight difficulty getting the holes aligned to start the screws, but it still took a lot less time to install the news ones than to remove the old ones. I was able to install those screws in about 1 minute for each side.The new arm rests are slightly shorter than the old ones, but that is fine with me. These new ones are extremely comfortable. The longer metal plates beneath the padding should make these last much longer than the originals.

The smell of this thing is very strong and very annoying. If you are someone who gets headaches from strong chemical smells this is NOT for you. This smell filled my entire house within 2 hours of installing just 1, I would recommend setting these outside to offgas for a week before bringing them into your house.

Despues de 3 semanas de estar pidiendo al fabricante me dijera si tiene el descansabrazo a venta como refaccion no a respondido si o no. Y bueno encontre este que le queda pues la base es universal, ahora ver cuanto dura sin abrirse. El original se comenzó a abrir como a los 2 años y medio.

The arms on my office chair have foam padding to be easy on my elbows. This wore out and I looked for replacements. As far as I can tell these are exactly the same as the originals. I assume they will wear out but will give another 6 years of use -- much cheaper than a new chair.

The replacement arm rests worked perfectly and were actually an upgrade to the previous ones.
