This electric stapler was ready to go right out of the box. I experimented with a few sheets at first. I only needed to adjust the slide to place the staple where I wanted it. That was very easy to do. The stapler came just in time. I had a big project to print and staple. I am so glad that I didn't have to use a manual stapler. This stapler handled 28 sheets with no problem even better than my manual heavy duty stapler. It is smooth and fast. I like the size and weight of it too. You can easily move it, its not heavy and clunky. I am happily surprised by the quality of the stapler. Even the packaging is very nicely done. It is definitely a handy thing to have in the office. Makes me wish I had gotten one sooner.

About 10 years ago a friend gave me a a spring-powered super-wow stapler that could staple pretty much anything — except when it jammed, bent staples, or just plain refused to work. All a moot point, actually, because it used some strange non-standard staples that I couldn't find anywhere after the initial load was used up. That "wonderful" stapler is now long gone.When I found out that the same people who perfectly solved my pencil-sharpener dilemma some time ago are now offering a powerful stapler I hoped that lightning would strike twice. It did.Here's the deal: It just works. OK — at first it seemed a little louder than I expected but after several uses I concluded it actually no louder than any other stapler, it's just a different sound: Zzzzzip! rather than the usual Clack! I'll take the trade, because the trade gives me a perfectly placed, unbent staple every time, up to 25 pages. 25. I tested it. It actually looks like it will do a few more than that. With no bent staples.The paper guide works well and will keep the staple placement consistent when in I'm in a rush preparing meeting handouts.It's stout and sturdy and looks and feels like it will last years, which is exactly what I need. And it uses standard staples, so I CAN use it for years.

I am an accountant and use a stapler daily in my job. I have various sizes of staplers depending on the volume of the papers but they were all manual, I didn’t have an electric one. I decided to give this electric and battery operated stapler a try and am very pleased. What I love most about it is that with batteries it is portable so I can use it in different areas of the office. It’s taken a lot of work off my wrists and can handle a good size volume. It hasn’t jammed and a sturdy workhorse. I also like the fact that you can preset where the staple is placed so it is consistent every time. The only downside is my assistant loves it too and she keeps taking it to her office. I gave in and got a second one! Now we both have what we feel is a great tool for all the stapling that goes on here in the office. It’s amazing how something so simple can make a big difference in your work day. I recommend it highly!

What I like about it is that it operates on batteries too. It also works with its electric charger. So far I didn’t face any problem but time should reveal the inner secrets

***UPDATE**** This is the second time this stapler stopped working with batteries. They replaced the first one, and now this one is doing the same thing. Keep in mind, I hardly use the stapler, so the batteries 'shouldn't' be dead, but could be dead. I replaced them with fresh one. Still nothing. When I plug it in it will work. But I bought this to remain battery operated. Very disappointed.This is perfect! Just what I was looking for to replace my older SwingLine version, which was not AC and Battery powered like this one. The SwingLine just started giving me battery failure flashing red lights all the time. The batteries were replaced but still happened. Seems the connectors hot loose somehow and even though I tried fixing it, same thing happened. I tossed when I ordered this one. This one is streamlined and glossy looking and its as beautiful as a battery operated stapler can get! Works powerfully and perfectly. You can set the depth of the staple, and that feature stays in place very securely. I love it!!

Update: just ordered my 4th staplerThey work so well... one for my employee and then I gave 2 to my customers. Reliable, long life on regular batteries. Highly recommended.I purchased one of a few months ago and could not get it to work with the batteries. Worked great plugged. Contacted customer support and 3 days later, I had a replacement. Told me I could keep the other. So I have it plugged in and both are working great. Portable holds a charge for over a month. Nice!!For over 4 years, I had a (2) swingline staplers that were perfect. Heavy but worked great. The battery died and the stapler head jammed. The unit was discontinued so I was looking for a replacement. This stapler is lighter, smaller and so far, so good.It's great to buy stuff and it works out of the box, but when it doesn't work. Wonderful company that stands behind the product! Customer service was very prompt.I see a pencil sharpener in my future!

Frustration Free!!I bought this stapler because I had quite a few papers that I needed to staple. The work was stacked on my desk because my last stapler jammed constantly and so did the one before that. It was the "jam free" reviews that sparked my interest and electric was a bonus. "We'll see...," I said to myself. I opened my stapler and placed in on my desk and began stapling the 100 or so sets of papers. Skeptical at first but as I continued to quickly staple the sets...I got smile on my face. I went through my entire stack and it was a breeze. I gave it a good 3 weeks of work in one day. It's a great stapler. It does exactly what I want. It works and it doesn't jam. I've only had it a few days but in that time I have given it about a months worth of work. I'm very happy with this product.
