The dimensions given indicate the slot width is .268". This is incorrect.. The actual slot wirth is .228".

These arrived just in time: I'm going to use them for low voltage wiring for decorative lighting around the house exterior. That isn't the intended purpose of these split bolts, but it will work perfectly to join heavy gage wire. I will clamp the wiring, wrap it with tape, and secure it from weather in a water resistant box, hidden behind an evergreen bush. So: unorthodox, but perfect for my needs..

These are adequate split bolts useful for many applications. They are copper colored and a reading of the seller's description says, "copper alloy". Be that as it may they do the job just fine. I used mine for attaching multiple ground rod leads together.The nuts tightened up well and have not loosened at all.Good product at a good price point

Good threads on these. It definitely looks like solid copper. Use these mostly for bare grounding wire to bond it. This is good value for the price here. I usually go over this after I've cranked down on it with some Scotch coat and then some electrical tape to keep corrosion away from the contact.
