Yes, you'll need to trim away the mesh if you need this for a sewing project, but it works perfectly for adding some Greco-Roman flair to my paper lamp shade.

These appliqués were perfect for my Poison Ivy costume! It took a while to cut off the mesh parts around the edges otherwise it would have a shown on my garment. But once that was done was super easy to hot glue onto my bodysuit and it ended up looking great!

These have mesh on the back, they do not iron on smoothly. I'm not sure if it's because I tried to pair them with dress shirt material, and maybe that's why they didn't work. If you want these to work for a costume then prepare to have fabric glue on hand, or just sew them yourself. They do not come with glue on the back. I did end up using them and they worked okay for my Oliver Quick costume (sometimes if not glued properly, they'd fall off) As far as the patches themselves, they were well made. Thick, and bigger than I thought, and that wasn't bad I suppose. Okayish purchase, could've been better if they ironed on like regular patches.

These are great, it takes a while to cut the mesh but they look great once you do. For anyone wondering, even though the ad picture is 8 identical ones, they are 4 mirrored pairs which is what I was hoping for.
