I love the craftsmanship, quality, and feel of the brushes. Hog hair bristle is ideal for oil painting. The hogs may be from several parts of the world, but the most sought after is from China; thus, this set is accurately identified as "100% Natural Chungking Hog Hair Bristle". The bristle forms a flag at the tip (and tends to have a natural curve) which helps to distribute the paints smoothly and evenly. The interlocked bristles formed inward to the beautiful white coppers ferrules. You can easily tell that they were fashioned by skilled brush makers, will not fray and come apart. This set is beautifully crafted with ergonomic long, light handle giving you the freedom to be creative with each brushstroke, while maintaining a correct perspective of your subject. The calligraphy on the handle is beautiful; the shape and number are easily identified.I had an issue with the crimp on one of the brushes, and the seller shipped me a new one immediately. They earned my business and I have been looking for more of their products to purchase. This is one of the few sellers/products that I can skip prior reviews, and go straight to check out. Wish ALL of Amazon sellers are like this! This is the ideal set to purchase if you are overwhelmed by the choices out there!

I use mostly bristle brushes and am constantly on the lookout for reasonably priced brushes that are good quality. I saw and these and decided to order them. I am very pleased with them. Genuine Chungking bristles and the brushes appear to be good quality. I will enjoy using them.The brushes arrived promptly and the seller is very interested in providing good customer service. I will be buying from them again!Update: I have been using these brushes for several weeks now and wanted to mention a vary useful application for them. I am now using them for painting foliage of all types. It is easy to spread the bristles out to get the random marks needed for grasses and leaves.

I like these brushes, but I removed one star because the packaging is so that the very tip of the longest brush got bent - the brush is a bit too long for the package. I haven't used the brushes, but they feel nice to the touch.

Very well made. Handsome brushes. It looks more expensive than it costs. Long elegant handles with gorgeous color. Looked so good I did not want to dirty them with paint. That aside, it is a quality brush set. Would buy again.

These are not at all what they claim. They are supposed to be ChungKing hog hair, and if they are they are not full like they claim. These are flat and cheaply made.

I like the #2 and 4 brushes...good and stiff and hold the paint as needed. But, after using the #4 brush several days in a row, I started loosing bristles onto my canvas...bummer. Now using the brush for mixing still using the #2, a little gun shy to use the other brushes...

Absolutely 100%satified and i havent even used them yet the packaging and care just itself sold me, not to mention the lifetime guarantee, im just beginning an art class but not only did i get the best deal i got amazing quality, my art instructor himself said so.

These brushes are very inferior. One litterly fell apart, the bristles separating from the ferrule. Another Filbert (#12) became a flat after being in the water, also the ferrule is loose. I would not buy these brushes again and I definitely want a full refund.
