I installed this on my sailboat and the filter on the engine is horizontal. I always leaked some oil and also I could not pre-fill the filter when I changed it. I moved it to an easy place to change and vertical so I could pre-fill the filter before I start the engine. It worked perfect and I was happy with the product.

I used this and installed it on a 2007 Honda Civic EX. R18a1 motor and PH8A oil filter for reference. I recommend getting custom fittings but for a daily driver it has worked well since I purchased. (It is now September 2017 as of this review.) I use about 6ft of hose for each line. I also installed a sandwich plate at oil end to add a pressure gauge and oil temperature gauge. Reading are always normal and only become high when its time for an oil change. So far I have done two oil changes.

Standard hoses are weak and tend to slow leak oil. Need to upgrade hoses.

I wasn't so sure about the soft hose it came with so I made hydraulic lines instead. Other than that I'm quite happy with it.It uses the same adapters for the head as the other kits so there's no benefit to this kit instead of the kit that has multiple thread adapters. I was hoping buying this one the filter adapter would be solid instead but it uses the same nut/c clip setup.

Works great and gave me a lot of options on where to mount a oil filter. Plus, it let me flip my oil filter around on my bike to a traditional, screw in from bottom style, which allows me to buy a larger variety of oil filters without having to worry about a anti-drain back valve. With the filter in the screw in from bottom position it maintains all the oil in the filter with gravity.

Finally something made in the USA. Was worried about leaks using barb fittings and hose clamps. I get well over 100 psi at startup and not one leak. Comes with 10" of 1/2 " 3-ply Goodyear hose letting you pretty well mount it anywhere under the hood. I highly recommend this product!
