I used this on 4 to 5 Oz leather and it worked great. I am not sure how long it will last, but for the price and how well it works I have no problem buying another.

This scallop is also called Scallop and Peak, both are reversable. Just flip it over and the points (or peaks) are on the top instead of on the bottom of the cut. It works beautifully on my paper crafts as well as giving fleece fabric a unique finishing touch. The Olfa brand keeps its sharp edge very well and doesn't dull after a few uses. I would love to see photos of the finished cutting pattern when ordering rotary blades so people would know what they look like. This product should be in everyone's sewing basket!

I have used a rotary cutter for many years but this is the first scallop blade I have used. Takes some getting used it. I use it for fabric mostly. Makes a very nice edge. But....as I saw mentioned in some other reviews....don't use your good quilting rulers. It will nick the edge. And like I say, maybe this just takes some practice to know exactly how to hold the blade next to the ruler. This is not a complaint about the blade, as it works very well....this is just for info - especially for those who may not be rotary cutter pros.

I had been thinking for a while on trying the OLFA decorative series blades, but wasn't sure they would work that well. I am here to tell you that they are WONDERFUL!! They make beautifully accurate scallops, not like having to find the right spot if you are trying to do things with the scalloped scissors. They work equally well on fabric and paper, although I would definitely have a separate one for fabric so you don't dull the blade with the paper. So happy with this purchase!!

I’m trying to use this product with a straight edge for consistency. The scalloped blade naturally gets caught on the straight edge periodically due to its shape. I feel like I dulled one of the scallops within the first few uses and it skips the cut on the fabric. I continue to have to go back over various sections to complete the cut. I’m not sure what the better option would be.

Worked well, but best used on a dedicated cutting board, so you don't cut nicks into your larger, main cutting board. The cut was nice and clean, and a very fun scallop. Hello leaves!

This has been fun to use to cut vinyl edges along zippers in zipper bags I've been making. I haven't had it long enough to rate longevity, but Olfa has always had a good product.

The scallops are so pretty and can be used on ribbons to keep them from raveling and on paper for bookmarks as well as a fine cut for fabrics. Love it!!
