Disclaimer: I am using this for a completely different purpose than originally intended.Rather than using as a splashguard, I've used this as a wind barrier for my mini camping stove. The metal pieces are thick and strong, so the wind will not knock it over easily. There is no worry about the flames going out by a gust of wind. I suppose you can also use this when starting campfires in windy conditions. Regardless of how you will use this screen, it will do a good job due to its solid construction.

This oil splash guard is metal with an attractive powder coating and comes in a nylon storage bag. The material is slightly thinner than expected but with little flex. My main personal grip is that the hinges between the panels are hyper-mobile, such that it can be tough to wrestle it into the desired configuration. A little more friction could go a long way to its ease of use. Overall, this is on the pricier side but is a clear step up from plastic and crinkles aluminum looking guards. Recommended if you want a particularly attractive and heat resistant splash guard.
