These are great. I actually had them RE-keyed to the ignition key by a locksmith so that I would only have to have one key for everything. Worked out great. It’s nice to be able to find replacement parts for my 1994 Jeep Wrangler.

Quality of lock sets appeared to be a cheap knockoff of the factory version. The lock pins appeared to be about 1/2 the width (and strength) of the original factory ones.

I understand these are for a YJ but looked close to what I needed for my TJ tailgate…. The previous owner had smashed the lock up for some reason. This fit in good and works as if it was factory. Now when I paint it you won’t see the old battle scars from when that guy broke the old lock…. The pic of the bad one is the old and the shiny one is the new one obviously…. Comes with 2 keys and 2 tumblers.

The set I received was clearly previously opened, messed with, returned and put right back on the shelf. I was in a bind so I made it work and installed in a 93 XJ that only came with the ignition key from the PO, still probably easier and cheaper than going to the junkyard or rekeying the original locks. The retaining cap had been pried off of one of the cylinders, someone clearly had it apart to mess with it and the keys didn't match the pins, didn't look like the locks had ever been installed in a vehicle though. Luckily I was able to shuffle the pins around in the mismatched lock cylinder and get it about 99% matched to the keys, now with a little jiggle of the key it at least turns good enough for the passenger door. The other cylinder in the kit worked perfectly.
