Save your $5, $9 now since last I check. definitely do not work. broke with the first door i closed. the installation is extremely easy but the quality of the material is poor. i can’t find another replacement for the switch but dont want to keep buying this crap.

This is exactly as required. Nothing wrong with it.I’m going to change it out, though, to one intended for the driver’s side. This one grounds the courtesy lights at the switch mount screw. Which is fine- it’s supposed to.The driver’s side plunger switch grounds through the harness; I want to put a switch on the harness ground so I have the ability to open the doors WITHOUT courtesy lights if I want, or when I’m doorless.A driver’s side switch on the passenger side will let me wire it to the common harness ground at the driver’s door and install the switch.

As soon as I touched it the tab fell off of the plastic and the entire thing exploded. I had to get creative and re-melt the tab back onto the plastic because I didn't want to have to send it back..

As with everyone else giving a one star review, these door switches are very poorly constructed. I have gone through 4 on the driver's side and 3 on the passenger's, in 6 months. They will fly apart on a whim. I am going to try again with a bead of epoxy where they attach the metal plate to the plunger, which is always the fail point, and see if that will prolong their life. I cannot find any other manufacturer for this product, so if this doesn't work, I will resort to a universal switch.

I’m currently on my third set within ~5 years. They work fine, but sometimes they “stick†so when you open the door you have to wiggle the switch to make it turn on. They eventually wear out (spring stops elongating), but they’re cheap and so easy to install even a child could do it, so there’s not much to complain about.

Worked well on my Jeep YJ, just be careful when plugging in or removing wires or the metal tab will pop off and the button will come out (but easily fixed with super glue)

I broke it before install, because the metal where the wire plugs in is only held on by a little tiny bit of plastic. Then I super glued it together and crossed my fingers. It did hold together however the contact point is very different from the one for the drivers side and is less reliable. Most of the time it doesn't work. I just recently fiddled with it in an attempt to get the lights to come on and I broke it again.

These are very poorly made. The metal tab to plug the wire onto is only held on by a small , I mean small, melted piece of plastic. First one fell apart on install. Second recieved broken, replacement also recieved broken. Recommended manufacturer to revise manufacture. Ended up having to epoxy reinforce the plug tab.

This looks simple enough to make properly but was a waste of my money. Broke taking it out of plastic bag. Sent both back.
