Purchased for my 1974 Jeep CJ5 304 V8. I'd never had an issue in the 15 years I've owned the Jeep, but a distributor I ordered damaged the gears on the distributor and the cam. Looking closer at it now, it's obvious the gear on the distributor was defective. So far, these gears seem to be manufactured well, and I had no fit issues. Everything installed easily. If you buy a cardone distributor, examine it closely. Nothing is cool about a fresh, remanufactured, distributor causing engine damage. Luckily, I can do the repairs at home, but it's a pain in the ass.

I purchased this product believing that it might work despite all the negative reviews. I had to use some emery cloth to make a proper fit, but it worked just fine.

i ordered these parts and decided that the previous person who left feedback didn't know what they were doing. Got the parts fast enough and they seemed to be the correct parts, until I tried to install the gear on the distributor shaft. Like the other review said it is just too small. we are a shop that has been here for over 30 years and I would like to think we know how to install a distributor gear. Something is wrong.

Tore up my old distributor gear, my grandpa had to tow me off the freeway. Installed this, it worked like a charm
