My parents are in their nineties and have shrunk a bit. They should drive a sedan but won’t, so they need help getting in and out of their van or truck. I wanted something that was 1. Very stable that wouldn’t slip around or tip/tilt; 2. Wasn’t slick on top; 3. Wasn’t crazy heavy; and that 4. I could tie a cord to it in some way so they can pull it up into the vehicle after they got in.This meets all of those requirements. (I can put a cord through a hole on one end that they can have in hand while using the step and then use to pull the step up.) It seems like they’ll be able to use it safely. It’s high enough to help but not so high they can’t step up.There is no assembly.

This is made of a sturdy plastic. One star is taken away because the photos are not to scale. It's actually much smaller. There is just enough space for both feet to stand on without much room to spare.

This is a handy item for short people. You can hook a string through the holes and pull into a car after using or use next to a bed that is too high.

I got this step for the wife to reach over the dryer to the cabinet above without having to get a ladder. It's very sturdy, doesn't slip and the perfect height for her to reach the cabinet. It's light and easy to store in the space between the dryer and the wall.
