I really appreciate the versatility of this item - I have used it to hang my military helmet and flak jacket, but obviously you can use it for a bunch of different items that you want readily available or to display on your wall.The construction and quality of the item is great, especially for the asking price. It is fair and right what I would expect. The installation is straight forward - I would definitely recommend a sturdy installation on wall studs, especailly if you are going to be hanging heavy items on it.If you are in the market for a wall hanger like this - I don't think you can go wrong.My grading scale:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY!4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot.3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised.2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out.1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.All of my reviews are based on actual use of the product. The finish of this gear mount was great from the black solid metal pieces to the cherry colored wood pieces and the chrome locknuts. There are a couple things to keep in mind with mounting. The first, the spacing of the screw holes for connecting to the wall is such that you can't get all four aligned on a single stud. This means you either put 2 of them on the stud and use drywall anchors for the other 2, or you go the route I did and first mount a board to the wall (a 1"x6"x2' board worked great for me) and then mount the gear mount to the board. The other piece to be aware of is that the wall mounting screws are a pretty shallow Phillips head type that are easy to strip. I used some 3" star-head deck screws instead that were a lot easier to attach and I didn't have to worry about stripping.

This is produced from EXCELLENT materials and was designed with care to detail. (Materials get a 5/5)My frustration with this wall mount is two-fold:1. This hangs TOO far into the room the distance could and should be halved.2. The helmet/hat rest is too tall it also could and should be halved.

This wall mount has been a valuable addition to my gear organization setup. The sturdy construction and high load capacity provide confidence that my equipment is securely stored. OneTigris made a metal and wood tactical gear holder, and version 2 has the extra vertical metal piece underneath the helmet mount that makes all the difference in how sturdy this mount is. The kit comes with the metal frame, the hangar, a base plate, the helmet plate, and 3 sets of screws (for the mount, for a metal wall, for a dry wall).There oddly were no instructions, but the kit was easily put together following the diagram on the box. All you need are the included hex wrenches and about 5 minutes to put the mount together. Putting the mount on the wall is an entirely different story.This is where instructions and good hardware would have been very helpful. I assume the instructions would say: 1) use the base plate as a template to get the screw holes on the wall, 2) put the mount together EXCEPT for the hangar, 3) using other hardware you bought from a reputable hardware store, screw in the mount to the wall, and finally 4) screw the hangar on the mount. But it doesn't say that.Finally, the hardware is lightweight, cheap Chinese aluminum that will strip the instant any torque is applied to the screws. This said, see step 3.Overall, the OneTigris tactical mount 2.0 is still an impressive mount, and once properly mounted on the wall is secure and holds plenty of weight for your gear. I recommend!

I wanted a product to help me hang and store my outdoor gear, this item solved that problem. The frame itself and other components are very heavy duty, ideally this is something that you want to mount to the studs. I did exactly that and also used the heavy duty wall anchors in combination. The assembly was fast and I had this put together within a few minutes. You can also find this product in a few different colors and styles to suit your needs. The price is reasonable, give it a try!

I held a quarter next to the metal for comparison. Nice and thick. I pre-decided that I would not use the wood backer board simply because I could only secure one side to a stud with it. By not using the backer all for points in the metal hit the stud while adding more metal surface area contacting a solid surface. I am impressed by the welds and the fact they are using solid metal where possible.
