Used this for a new backsplash behind an updated stovetop. I needed two pieces to extend the full length of the wall, which is much longer than the stove top - wanted it to tie the countertop and splash together. The two pieces were packaged and shipped separately, but arrived together. Each piece had a bent corner, which was not hard to straighten, but since I don't have a sheet metal shop, there was still a very small ripple left after I straightened them.More importantly, I needed these two pieces to lay end-to-end to form the backsplash. What I discovered when I unwrapped them was that one was brushed length-wise, and the other was brushed 90 degrees (width-wise?) to that. So... it looks strange with the change in brush direction. When ordering this material, there isn't a way to specify which way the brush grain should run, unfortunately. So I got unlucky, getting two different grain patterns. I guess I could have ordered 3, then I'd be guaranteed a pair that matched, but obviously that is a lot of extra money. Amazon - add a feature allowing the buyer to specify the grain for the pieces ordered!Other than that, this is excellent material and even with the grain problem, the kitchen looks great with it. When I get some time, I'll use a random orbit sander with steel wool or such to randomize both sheets, but I would have been happier with matching grain!

What can I say about a sheet of steel??? It looks like a piece of stainless steel. (304 is non magnetic... I did not test with a magnet so cannot give information.) The dimensions are correct including the thickness. Is it a brushed piece of SS???? I cannot tell that it is. It looks polished on both sides, but will work fine in my application; it is not the grey that is depicted in the picture, however, I suppose it could be brushed?????

Good product and as described. Packaging should be improved so as not to damage the edge and corners of this sheet during delivery. The finished side is protected by plastic, which facilitates any final cutting require. Can be cut with sheet metal sheers.

The product arrived in perfect condition! It has a protective removable film on one side. It is probably thicker than what I needed but more is better right? It will be purposed as a heat shield between a 9KW sauna heater and the sauna wall...which by the way is summoning me now!ðŸ˜

These are a wonderful addition to my kitchens backsplash. I was so excited when I saw these and my measurements were spot on but didn’t take outlets into account. Read return policy.

Product came bent in 3 distinct spots so is unusuable for a backsplash.
