It's angle iron, exactly what I ordered. Dimensions are as specified. I made an extremely tough security door strike plate using this. I mortised the trim so it bolts securely into the stud from two directions and sits flush. I drilled and shaped the rectangular holes for the deadbolt and latch. Great product.
