I recently started playing duets with another Hornist at church. Neither of us had a way of keeping our horns accessible and also safe before performances, except the cases. She bit the bullet first and bought the Hercules French Horn Stand. Good choice. She is a well paid IT professional. I am but a humble church organist. I decided to look for a cheaper option. I wanted a real Horn Stand even though I realized that an Acoustic Guitar stand will also work and some are very ̶c̶h̶e̶a̶p̶ affordable. I was a little leery when I came across the On Stage Horn Stand. To be honest, I wasn't expecting such a well designed, well manufactured, and well packaged product retailing for less than half the cost of the Hercules stand, but I am very pleasantly surprised. I will have zero regrets about my choice when our horns are next on display, side by side (other than hers being a Yamaha YHR667 and mine being a Holton H602 ...). Another reviewer says there wasn't any product information showing how the horn fits on the stand. I must beg to differ. I've attached a shot of the box which has, as you can see, a fairly large photo of the stand in use. You can't go wrong with this one.

Since I had knee surgery I needed someplace to set my horn so I could stand up. This works perfectly. Now I have it set up next to my practice chair so my horn is together and ready to play. I also take it to my 5 rehearsals a week to free my hands when needed. It folds instantly to fit in my music bag and is steady to hold my horn.

This French Horn stand provides peace of mind. Fear not! Your days of worrying your instrument will be bumped off a chair are over. One-handed motion opens the well cushioned stand and provides a sturdy nest for your horn. Mine awaited me on stage yesterday. Elegant. Entirely black. Sleek and professional. Superb purchase.

This stand supports my horn well, but I find that it just doesn't want to stay fully open. After several cycles of taking my horn off and putting it back on the stand, the legs begin to move noticeably together, requiring me to move tham back apart again. I wish there were a gentle locking mechanism to hold the legs in the fully open and fully closed positions. The large pad at the top of the stand cushions well, but it keeps falling off - the adhesive used isn't very good. Potentially a very good stand, but needs some tweaks to improve the quality issues.

If I had to leave my horn at my seat, for years, I just lay it down on the seat. Every year or two, it would get knocked off the seat. A few times it was me, but usually it was someone further down a row or in a different row, pushing a chair into another chair or a stand, and a cascade of falling metal would cause sphincters to slam shut all over the room. This stand holds the horn easily. It's not going to fall out. My horn fits into it in either direction, and it's on the floor. While nothing's impossible in the world of damaging brass instruments, it's pretty rare for anything to fall off the floor. Sure, it's potentially a trip or kick hazard, but short of putting the horn back in a case each time you step away, this is probably the best solution. It's also more secure than having it in my lap or tucked under an arm while a arrange my folder or adjust my stand. I find I use it a lot more than I expected.

Easy to use. Works well. Doesn’t seem flimsy at all. I’m enjoying it so far.

Great purchase to protect my French Horn from falling over or having to constantly put it into its case. Meets all expectations, and is definitely recommended.

The stand allows you to lean the horn against the VERY sturdy stand. When I am nearby, it is totally safe. Since I play with professionals, not having it lock in is still safe (so far).

Crumple su función. Muy robusto aunque demasiado estorbos y pesado para llevarlo a ensayar. Es más para dejarlo en tu cuarto de práctica.

This French horn stand was more affordable than many others. It arrived quickly in a small compact package. Easy to set up. Holds French horn securely. One negative is that the foam pad on mine was not well attached, but after squishing it back into place it seems ok.
