The quality of this garlic/shallot keeper is readily apparent, with the ceramic base and durable bamboo cover making it attractive enough to display on your counter. The nicely finished, solid bamboo cover easily opens and closes, and the interior of the base is just as smooth and well finished as the exterior. It is roomy enough to hold several large bulbs of garlic, and will keep them fresh for much longer than when kept elsewhere. Easily the nicest garlic keeper out there!

I broke my terra cotta garlic keeper for the 3rd time and finally decided that after 20yrs it was time to replace it. Garlic keepers are NOT created equal. Mine was round and had a detachable, flat lid. Initially, I liked the old world look of it but everytime I reached for the garlic in my cupboard it was a 2-handed operation. Also, I couldn't fit more than 2.5 regular sized cloves in the jar. The outside was hard to clean because terra cotta hangs onto water so wiping it dry was pretty much the only option.I chose to go with the ONTUBE garlic keeper as my replacement as I was intrigued by the attached lid. I chose the blue because that was the only color I liked. Well, the reviews aren't wrong. The attached lid is GREAT. Now I can just reach into the cabinet and pull out a bulb with one hand (I'm an accomplished cook but terrible about mis en place so I'm usually chopping garlic on the fly while something is already sauteeing so every second counts!) Bonus is that I can now store 4 or more garlic bulbs easily in this jar (I don't usually buy more than 3 bulbs at a time for fear of them sprouting).The construction seems good. The hinge on the lid is just a pin but it seems like it is securely placed so "shouldn't" break off easily. The jar is easy to grab with one hand if you need to and it's not very heavy at all, but sturdy. There are vent holes in the bottom to keep the bulbs dry; essential for a garlic keeper. Don't just use any jar with lid for your garlic; it really needs to stay dry and dark in there with some air to breathe.So I give this the full five stars. It was a decent price for what you get, too ($20). The only complaint I have is that I wish it came in more colors. The light blue is cute but it doesn't really go with my kitchen. But I didn't like the white nor the navy either. Those colors seemed boring.

It took me a while to decide on a Garlic keeper, and I finally decided on this one for a couple reasons. I liked that the lid was attached (so a flip-top) instead of detachable; this meant that I could get garlic out even if one hand weren't free, and also that I didn't have a lid to keep track of losing. I liked that it were square instead of round. I liked that the top were flat (so I could set something small on top if I wanted/needed to). I liked the overall design of it, as well as the color options. Having used this Garlic keeper several months now, I'm happy with the purchase and all the considerations. I definitely prefer the attached lid versus a detached lid; the lid flips up and down easily. I've used the flat-top to set things on several times. I'm glad I went with a square design over a round design (just preference). The size is plenty adequate for my needs. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's interested in the look and design of this Garlic keeper.

This little garlic storage does what it is supposed to do. Garlic stays fresh and looks very cute and organized. The flip top is great when you have your hands full. The top stays on well. It holds about 3 to 4 medium sized garlics. That is plenty for me. Unless you use a whole garlic daily, this is a perfect little storage holder. I store it in the pantry and it last for months.

Habia estado usando contenedores de frasco antes de adquirir este contenedor de ceramica y desafortunadamente los ajos terminaban en descomposicion debido a la poca ventilacion que estos frascos de vidrio ofrecian, Finalmente con este contenedor de ceramica y con esos hoyos de ventilacion en la parte inferior del contenedor han sido el equilibrio perfecto para mantener los ajos frescos y listos para su uso, y que decir del diseño justo como me gusta elegante y vintage al mismo tiempo, un articulo que jamas se vera mal en cualquier cocina y si a eso le sumamos la utilidad del mismo no hay mas que decirlo.. esta es una excelente compra!!!

El producto en sà es lindo sin embargo las perforaciones laterales donde van los tornillos para la tapa están chuecos uno más adelante que el otro, lo cual hace que al abrirla se vea muy chueca, creo que deberÃan revisar todo producto antes de enviarlo 😓
