TLDR; Check all cables and cams immediately out of box before running cable, I had a faulty cable and had to rerun the wiring. Use their Company based customer support email for replacement pieces, and Amazon for an outright return. (Email provided with product).Picture 1 - Blurriness/Fogginess is due to a dusty lens and does not represent the camera quality in any way.Picture 2 - This is the accurate representation the infrared camera has in pure darkness with minimal reflective lighting.First picture is a reference for their 65' infrared night vision range from a lower height. Specifically, sitting on a lawn chair roughly 2' off the ground. This is not recommended in any wet weather, and I will be mounting these with waterproof bases soon under a structure/the roof.Second picture is the same model camera placed slightly off to the side under the deck. In this picture you can see the camera from Picture 1 glowing to the right of the stairs.More reflective surfaces will generate a much larger span for the infrared to generate a clear image for the cameras. This is amplified by farther surrounding lights, so if you're after night security, take reflective surfaces into account when mounting.An issue I have is the standard mounts have no room to house the excess cables where the Network Cable and Cam connect. I just purchased some waterproof housing mounts, which look as though they may be the best option if you are into a neat and clean wire line.I have not invested any time into the functions of the HDD and transfer or addition of storage so I am sorry I can't comment on that for future owners.I run this system on all cams 24/7, haven't used 4% of integrated storage with 2K/recordings. I am able to just to time points by hour in the day, and tune it down by the minute on the playback bar. You can speed up x2 - x8 speed FORWARD ONLY. So if you're just trying to check timestamps, if you go slightly too far passed the moment you were trying to pause, the best option you have is to restart the playback minute it happened within. Once you export the files you'll have free reign over perusing your footage without impedance on any media player that supports h.265 ... *Cough* VLC/PotPlayer/Don't buy a codec that had and HAS been free worldwide.Hope this helps someone out there some day.

I work for a small company, with only 9 employees. However, due to rising crime in the area, we knew we needed a good camera system. We had a system professionally installed a few years ago that we paid over $5,000 for. It was constantly giving us trouble. Two of the cameras went out. And the system was not user-friendly. Every time we would have an issue, we would have to have the company techs come out to fix it and they would charge us a $75.00 fee for what most of the time was a five-minute fix but they wouldn't tell me how to fix it because they wanted to charge the $75.00 fee. When two of our cameras went out due to being struck by lightning, they charged $1500 to come out and replace those cameras. The camera quality on those was terrible. They were blurry and you could not focus on the images. We also couldn't get the images on our phones.When we were sick of pouring money out for this terrible system, we switched to the Blink cameras. They work very well with good video quality, but they are battery operated, and with as much movement as we have here on a daily basis, we were constantly having to replace batteries.I started researching and asking other small businesses in the area which system they used. Most of them suggested Night Owl, but after researching even more, I ran across this system due to a YouTube video. I read reviews, did a little more research, and found this was the best option for our application.The setup was super easy. I had all 8 cameras operational in less than 30 minutes. Installing the cameras was a little difficult because of the span we have between the cameras and the DVR. The package comes with 60' of cable per camera so if you are spanning more than that, keep in mind you will need more cable and connectors to bridge that cable. Once the cameras were installed and operational, they work GREAT! We are able to pull images up on our phones now as well as having a monitor to look at images and go back to a certain event. I'm so glad I made the choice to purchase this system and will probably be purchasing two additional systems for two additional locations we have in the area.

Purchased this for a new home set up. For what I need it is a great solution, providing 24hour visibility to all access points of my home. Set up is pretty much plug and play, I connected it to my living room TV so I can pull it up any time I like. The mobile app also allows me to view the system any time I like.Overall picture is sufficient in standard resolution and streams a little quicker, but if I want to see the details I can quickly change to HD.As mentioned it is pretty much plug and play, which means everything is included. I had pre-wired my house so the included wiring ended up in the trash. Not full CAT6, so really no other use for it. Would have liked an option to not have the wire go to waste, but understand they have to limit options.

The night vision is sketchy. Very poor quality you don't realize how poor the video quality is until you try to play back a video, When someone is walking is looks like a blur in the recorded videos especially at night. The mobile app will close out on it's own in the middle of you trying to review footage and you got to start all over again, so basically when reviewing footage after every 10 to 30 seconds the whole app will close down and you gotta Stat over. There is no audio in the footage. none. Also downloading the footage is a pain

Buenas cámaras, fácil de configurar, llego con todo lo necesario para su instalación lo único es que no he podido configurar la grabación por movimiento. La resolución de las cámaras es muy buena.
