300 ft tape Ideal for estimating the size of some jobs. Tape itself is rugged synthetic material that seems, the outer case is plastic not as tough as they much older units I've used, but I don't think they still make the ones with metal cases, at least I've never found one. For the price this can't be beat.

I used this tape measure for the first time today. I measured a distance of 300 ft and just the minimal tension of tape over the distance tore the tape off of the wheel. The tape snapped in a second spot about 6 ft from the end of the tape. It appears that a small staple was used to attach the tape to the wheel. The tape has a reinforcing thread through it, but the material used for the tape is a cheap plastic rather than cloth.

We bought this measuring tape for our cricket tournament where we used this to measure between the stumps and all the way to the boundary. being very soft rotation and long enough to use in our tournament. I recommend this absolutely.

Great tape for the money. Used this to lay out the footprint of our house. Easy to unwind and rewind. Numbers are easy to read. Smooth operation. Fits well in a handheld tool bag with other tools.

Live in the country with acreage, needed to zone my area so purchased this measuring reel. well, first use and it snapped when pulling tightly. we were 2 women doing the job each about 100lbs. the material is flimsy. easy to read the numbers for they are bold but not durable as I mentioned.
