Overview:Pros->Great build quality>Easy installation (but can be time consuming)>Very bright at night>Easy to control (using both the main remote control and key fob)>Uses barely any battery>Will work on almost any carCons->Connectors are flimsy (the metal prongs inside)>Cables aren't long enough for longer cars>Key fob controller has a short range>Is barely visible during daytime (which really is no problem)>I had mounting issues on my vehicle on the sides (results may vary for your vehicle)In depth review:I had been looking at tens of different underglow kits on amazon, and across the Web. Most scared me with their cheap prices (some costing only $30!) and others just did not have any good reviews at all. I came across this Opt7 kit about a month ago and instantly could tell that this was no ordinary kit. This one seemed to have much higher reviews, and much better advertising than any other sub $100 kit. So I purchased it, planning on doing the full installation myself. First I tested it with the 12v outlet to make sure that all of the strips and cables worked, which they did and the brightness sitting on the roof of the car during broad daylight surprised me (however once they are under the car it is a different story during the day). I played around with all of the features and functions before I began the installation to make sure everything was on tip top shape. Then I began to plan the runs for the cables going from the control box to the light strips. About the light strips, holy cow those things are robust! They are encased in a metal sheathing with some sort of clear rubbery coating on the side where the lights shine and to this day mud, dirt, and debris have not affected them. When I was first installing the front and back I made a bit of a mistake. It was getting dark outside so I wanted to move in the car to work on it where there was light. Well I accidently ran over the cable that I had attached to the rear strip and it yanked the strip out of the spot I just had it sitting in and bent the entire strip into a soft Crescent shape. I almost freaked out until I bent it right back into its normal shape and it functioned just fine! However one of the metal prongs inside of the connecter at the control box got messed up by this mishap and caused all of the blue diodes in any strip connected to it not to function, but that was fine by me as I only intended to use green anyways. Everything else during installation was smooth up until it came to mounting the side strips. My 2011 Honda Accord Ex sedan had no grommets, holes, or spots to attach the strip to. There was also a rubberized coating on the entire bottom of the sides of the car that would not allow me to drill into the metal to mount the strips. So I would up using zip ties, which have held very very well, and different kinds of tape on the ends, which has not faired so well. Every other day one of the strips would lose its tape do to rain, or wind and it would hang about 3 centimeters from where I had it mounted. Eventually I was able to use packing tape (of all of the tapes for some reading that was the best and is still holding on after 2 weeks) to hold up the strips. After that I had to run the rear strip and found out that the cable was about 2 feet short of where I needed it to be. Maybe if I had mounted the control box in a more optimal place it would have worked but I already had a cozy spot for it near the top of the engine bay (another thing: it is mush easier to just mount the control box in the engine bay somewhere near your fuse box, rather than inside the car). It is worth mentioning that my car is longer than the average sedan by about 8 inches so your milage may vary. So I just bought an extender cable that was in the recommended section under this product and it worked great! Everything functions except for the rear strip's blue diodes but that is from my dumb self messing it up. I would highly recommend this product as it definitely turns heads and is a great way to personalize your car without doing anything to drastic to the vehicle.

Hello, I purchased the OPT7 Aura underglow car kit for my 2005 G35 last year. They shipped faster than expected, came in great packaging with now damage it was well protected. Me being an avid vehicle DIY-er I get a bit skeptical when it comes to buying modifications for vehicles if they're cheap. I happened to come across these in a related search here on amazon for under a hundred bucks, without even researching I already liked them because the lights in the photo looks like they were an actual sturdy bar, that alone made me decide to buy this kit, no research no reading reviews. And when I received them I was pleasantly surprised to open them and see how heavy duty the kit actually was, the bars were way more sturdy than I had expected, the keyfob remote seemed like it could withstand a beating and back, and all the hardware was top notch. It took me maybe an hour and a half to install, really just because I drilled extra holes in my underbody for extra security. and the wiring was a breeze, simply connected it into an open fuse spot in the console. And when I turned them on I was blown away by the output and crispness of the colors. I drove around in California many nights with the Purple lights glowing under my car, I loved seeing myself shine on the guard rails. I caught so many compliments by so many people because of my lights and it gave my vehicle a whole new personality. And when I say these things are durable I mean they are DURABLE! I was hit by a semi truck on the interstate one morning in my car. My entire back end, right side and front end wash smashed in, and all my lights were still fully functioning and shining bright under my car, the bumpers were bent but the light bars stayed straight. I am deployed right now and my wife picked me up a new car yesterday and I will be Re-Purchasing the OPT7 kit but I think I will be getting the Bluetooth one this time, I will also be purchasing the OPT7 Interior Led kit and the OPT7 grill LED kit and personally I cannot wait! Thank you OPT7 for making such Quality Products!

I bought this product in a bundle which included the underglow, interior glow and halo lights. The underglow is very sturdy and very bright! My husband loves it. I will say that the only thing that we dislike about this product is the connecting RGB wires between the two light bar sections. So just make sure that when installing you are careful and put it up high enough that you can leave enough room for your light bars to be able to miss any road debris that could possibly sever the wires.

Very bright and easy to install, multiple colors (some shine brighter than others). I really like them and they look great. The passenger-side light wire should be at least 2ft+ longer (kind of a tight stretch on a Nissan Frontier). If the wire was longer I would've mounted under the dash instead of under the hood. Overall, very satisfied with this product and the kid's love it!

Probably one of the best underglow products out there. It's on aluminum rails and can be screwed in or installed using adhesive material like silicone that's what I did.
