The F-5280 is manually reversible and includes speed control on both sides of the fan. The safety grill guards protects fingers from the two 7" fans.

I purchased this fan to use for "white noise" when I sleep. I couldn't have made a better purchase! It is LOUD. For me, this is a selling feature. It has a very powerful fan that kicks air out with force. IF you do not want the noise, do not order this little guy. But for those of us who use them for white noise, the included feet ensure it stands up right on carpet, and the reversible "exhaust fan" feature allows you to keep the heavy output to the wall, so as not to freeze you out of your room in winter. I'm very pleased.

I love this fan. I bought it to bring in a breeze and cool down my second floor 2-story apartment when the weather is nice. The two speed settings allow for a bit of control. The on/off/speed knob extends through the back side of the fan so that you can flip it around to face the other way and still control it. This means you can either suck good air in when it's nice outside, or push bad air out when you've burned food on your stove. There are accordian-like panels that pull out from either side, allowing you to expand the entire device to fill up your window space. This is a big plus for people who don't have screens; it keeps the bugs out, and keeps your cat in.My only complaint isn't really a complaint - yes - the fan is noisy, but what fan isn't?Overall, it's a good buy, and I am considering buying another one so that I don't have to move it from room to room.

This is a basic fan that has worked well for the past month. You place it in the window, extend the side panels, plug in the power and turn it on. It's manually reversible which means you physically turn it around if you want it to blow out instead of blowing in, and there is an on/off switch on both sides. You can pay more for more features, but this seems to do the job. Oh, yes, it does make noise but I don't notice it too much. It's not more noise than a window air conditioner. In general with window fans, you have windows open in two different rooms so put it in the other room if it's too loud for you.

I got this to use as an exhaust fan in my new apartment's bathroom. Size, shape, etc worked out fine, but sadly the lack of power outlets, and the shortness of the cable on the fan made it impossible to use as I hoped. Not the fan's fault. But here are some issues I found that might be of interest:One of the accordion side walls never latched properly. The rubberized "feet" on the baseplates, intended to keep the fan stable all fell off while taking it out of the box. I put them back on, but every time the fan is moved they fall right off again. Since you have to move the fan to reverse the airflow, this would be a pain. Finally, I cannot get the thing to sit vertically. I thought that was possible (but I looked at so many I may be mistaken). But the baseplates don't seem to fit on the sides, the fan just sits loosely in them and rattles. So if you're looking for something to go in a window that opens left to right, be sure to double check the specs, because from what I can tell that won't work well.

Good fan that fits in narrow windows. Has side panels that pull out to fit the window. The control is on both sides so you can use it in either direction (the fan itself does not reverse). Comes with removable feet in case you want to put it on a table instead on in a window.

This fan is garbage. When I purchased this fan they had measurements in the description which have been removed. When it arrived It was larger than advertised. It did not fit and falls out of the window. Which is why it is now in the garbage it fell out and shattered. And when it was running, it was so noisy, and it vibrated that it shook my house.

Bought this because my wife hates the smell of hookah, works perfectly and keeps the room clear of smoke.Just set up your rig by the window and blow towards the fan and outside it goes. We don't use this for air intake just exhaust so as far as filter compatibility or trying to customize one on isn't an issue for me. That's not even worth deducting a star for like others are doing. This was not advertised to work with a filter or friendly to customize a filter on. Don't ruin an item's review rating because you couldn't do something it wasn't meant to do.There is a plentiful amount of air flow for the size of this window fan, it's not big and neither are the fans but it gets the job done just fine. My wife sometimes fry food in the kitchen in the winter and using this helps a ton as well. We try to fry outside since it's less messy and smelly but no one likes cooking outside in the winter.Overall an easy 5 stars. I've had it for 5-6 months now and it's worked great!

If you live in a small apartment (2 rooms or fewer) and were hoping for a inexpensive and working cooling solution, this is not a fan for you. Construction is as cheap as possible, placing in a window is easy but the resulting noise is larger than the amount of air displaced by the dual fans. If the window you are using is open to gusts of wind, when the fan is powered on either speed the gusts cause very audible vibrations, not good if you’re a light sleeper and this unit is in the bedroom. Spend a bit more and get a better fan.

Product is as described. Not the sturdiest but it's good. Double sided switches so you can have air go in or out. In order to do this you have to flip the fan as there are knobs on both sides. It's got 2 speeds. First speed is somewhat quiet. Second speed, definitely not quiet but for a good reason as it's pushing that air! It's a simple window fan and I'm very satisfied with my purchases and would recommend to friends.

It's got a pretty decent fan noise, but it's tolerable as I'm used to fan noises. It's more the rattle noise when I turn it up to high that I can't stand. It's like it's cheaply made so something inside is loose or poor quality that's rattling. You can also see wires hanging inside the frame for the fans. You get what you pay for with this. It does the job, moves air. Just don't expect high quality. It also doesn't fit my window... But that's not the products fault. My window slide is just to small, and this was the smallest one I could find, and it's maybe an inch or two too big... 😑

This is bit on loud side but it pushes a lot of air through it. I have ran this nonstop in the last few summers still running fine.

This fan is about as simple as you can get - dial knob on both sides, two fans, and extensions. To reverse the flow, take out the fan, turn it around, and use the knob on the other side.So long as you're looking for a straightforward window fan, this is a good choice.
