I bought this along with some double female connectors to create a 36 inch riser for a sprinkler that needed to be taller due to bushes growing. I bought three, twelve inch pipes plus a pack of the connectors to make this happen. I probably could have gone to the orange box store and got a single piece and one connector but this was fairly easy and I believe a better price or similar. The only difference is that I spliced three instead of getting one piece and technically there is a greater chance of a leak I suppose. With some teflon tape there is no leaks and it worked for my application. I am using this same review for the connectors as well and I can't remember which set came with teflon tape. Plastic appears of high quality. The connectors came with a bunch in the pack so I am good for future projects.

Their hose attachments, risers and pipes are solid construction for my DIY lawn/garden and irrigation repairs. However, their watering gadgets like timers are not so good and never hold up for more than a year.

FOR WHATEVER REASON 3/4 INCH RISERS ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND. THE 1/2 INCH RISERS ARE ABUNDANT, BUT IF YOU WANT TO RAISE A ROTARY LAWN IRRIGATION HEAD ---- YOU NEED THIS 3/4 INCH SIZE. GOOD PRICE AND READILY AVAILABLE ON AMAZON. WOULD RECOMMEND . . . . .

It’s a common irrigation type plastic pipe riser. Just in case you wonder, the inside diameter (ID) is 0.75 inches (3/4 inch), the outside diameter (OD) is about1.04 inches and the total length (end-to-end) is 8 inches. The treaded part (male pipe thread “MPTâ€) of each end of the pipe is 3/4 inch long, the smooth section of the pipe is 6 1/2 inches (8 minus 1.5). It has “schedule 80†thickness, which means it has greater rigidity and pressure rating. It’s thicker than Schedule 40 pipe. Use plumber’s white teflon tape (PTFE) when assembling for best results, no leaks. It’s easy to assemble by hand.

Is a decent product except the thread plastics are somewhat weak and soft I can actually bend the threads with my fingernails. I should have bought rainBird.

I only got 3 out of 5. Were the other two on back order?
