Your cart is empty.Riser pipes in rigid PVC allow you to connect from a sprinkler line, typically under the ground, to a hose faucet, drip manifold, shrub head, spray head, impact sprinkler, or gear-drive rotor. The wall thickness of PVC risers is thicker than Schedule 40 pipe which means it has greater rigidity and pressure rating. As plants grow, you can extend the riser above the plants via addition of a Schedule 40 PVC coupling and another riser. Use a support stake to stabilize taller risers. Riser inlet/outlet sizes for residential applications are 1/2-in., 3/4-in., and 1-in. male pipe thread (MPT), with lengths spanning from just the pipe threads (“close nipple”) to 48 in. Compatible with irrigation components from Orbit, Hydro-Rain, and other major brands. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

Great, high quality close riser for sprinklers, works exactly as expected. This is 1/2" x 1/2" close.

The old riser (though I'd call it a coupler) had broken. This one screwed in perfectly. The old one had a shape in the middle to allow a 7/8" socket to be used with it. The new one is just smooth. It should probably be just hand-tightened anyway, so I'm OK with that.

I made my own DIY above ground sprinkler system when we over seeded and aerated this fall. I used the pulsator spike stands for 5/8 inch hoses and connected rain bird rotors and pop up sprayers to cover my whole yard.I was at first annoyed because both Home Depot and Menards only sold the 6-12 inch risers, because they were out of stock of the shorter ones. I bought the cut to size ones, also a pain to have to cut.This came next day and was exactly what I needed to hook all the rotors up to the spike to set the sprinklers in the ground. Easy to use thread tape with. Awesome product!
