The extra length is great for watering those hard to reach areas around the yard without having to stretch or stoop. To modify the amount of water you are using, there is a built-in flow control dial that adjusts the flow of water without going back to the faucet.

Was a lifelong Dramm user, but after a few items that didn't last as long as I expected, I gave this Orbit water wand a try. I'm pleased to say that it met or exceeded all of my expectations. Although not commercial grade, it's built substantially enough that it should last for years with proper care. Both the trigger valve and the water flow valve appear to be of good quality brass and function smoothly. The wand tube is a medium gauge aluminum - certainly a good deal stronger than the house brand big box types - and has a standard male fitting on the end to allow for maintenance or replacement of the metal rosette. The trigger is also a stamped metal part of decent thickness - it doesn't feel flimsy at all when in use and the valve action is quick and leak free. In fact, I've had no leaks at all in the several months I've used it in two hobby greenhouses and a backyard garden - almost a notable feat compared to budget wands. The plastic overmolding on the grip has a firm feel and nice texture - it's easy to hold for extended periods of watering. There is a soft neoprene sleeve with finger grip molding on the lower end of the tube to aid in balancing the wand if this is an issue - I don't find it necessary but it may be helpful for folks with limited grip strength - the trigger can be locked in the on position and the water flow adjusted to your liking first and then you can hold the wand by the soft grip instead. This could be especially useful for watering overhead baskets as well if connected to a lightweight hose. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and function and have found very little to quibble about. I consider it a great value for the cost and expect that with moderate care, it can see many years of good service. I haven't checked the manufacturers website if replacement parts are available, but it does appear to be reasonably repairable (gaskets, seals, rosette) and the wand is threaded onto the trigger body, not swaged like budget types. In any case, Orbit does back it with a 1 Year warranty per the packaging. Solid buy.

I'm very pleased with this watering wand. The build quality is better than I expected given the price point. It is light and easy to handle, but still has a nice, solid feel to it. The trigger works well, and I really like having a separate flow regulator. I can dial it down to give seedlings a light watering, then dial it back up for established plant watering. Zero leaking on the connection or the trigger. It replaces a wand I paid a lot more for years ago, and out performs it. Five stars.

Works well. The grip is foam and not rubber so I do not think that will last too long. Most other parts are all metal so I feel like those will last. Spray pattern is nice and there is a flow control kind to reduce pressure at the head if needed.

I love this watering wand for a few reasons:1) The 36" length allows me to reach hanging plants and hard to get corners of my garden.2) It has a level lock so I don't have to hold the lever while watering.3) It has a dial to control the water pressure.4) It is very lightweight but sturdy.5) It has a comfortable foam gripI highly recommend.

Nice and gentle to higher pressure shower for watering plants and washing cars or windows. Great length too.

As a home gardener I have used many different hose sprayers and wands, and this is the best wand I have had to date. The lowest setting is great for delicate plants and the highest works well for areas that are farther away. Consistent spray and easy to use. The dial makes it easy to adjust the spray setting and the handle locks in the open position, so you don't need to hold it down. Highly recommend.

I'm thrilled with this thing. Being a preventive maintenance fanatic the first thing I did was take it apart, and I was happy to find that the potentially leaky bits are all sealed by common parts: two garden hose washers (one at the hose end and the other at the base of the nozzle), one O-ring in the flow control valve, two O-rings on the trigger valve piston (which I was happy to find is brass), another O-ring in the handle-to-pipe interface, and one stepped seal in the nozzle body -- all stuff that one might buy right here on Amazon. I anticipate many happy years of use from my shiny new water wand.I've paid more for a LOT less. Just buy this one, and some spare hose washers because everything that connects to a garden hose leaks when the washer wears out. (It's a simple rule: If it takes more than a snug twist to seal, you've got a bad washer or maybe a wrecked hose end. Washers are a dime apiece so don't be that fool who breaks things - like the trigger lever - trying to save a whole darn dime.) If/when you get a leak somewhere else, as in the video of "water from 2 different places," it's just a cheap, common O-ring that any reasonable hardware store or Amazon will have in stock. In spite of the naysayers' reviews, this is a high quality unit. :-) I'm going to buy all of those little O-rings and stick 'em in a pill bottle so that when I get a leak I can fix the thing straight away and grin about it afterwards.

Quality product. This is a metal design and will last. It costs more than the plastic ones but will last. I recommend.
