About this item

  • For precise micro-watering of trees, shrubs, perennials, or annuals Flow control allows adjustment to a wide range of water application rates Male thread inlet on the flag dripper connects to a 6 or 12-inch drip stake Available in low, medium, and high-flow versions with color-coded flags Control with a B-hyve smart controller for optimum water conservation

Flag drippers function like drip emitters. While they are not pressure compensating, meaning the flow per hour (GPH) will vary according to pressure, they do have flow control which allows you to adjust them to a wide range of water application rates. This can be especially helpful for adjusting flow according to soil type in order to prevent runoff and for increasing flow as plants mature. They are superior to drip emitters in their ability to handle water with particulate in it. The flag color indicates the GPM of the dripper and is removeable for easy cleaning. The 10-32 male thread inlet on the flag dripper connects to a 6 or 12-inch drip stake with 10-32 female thread (FT). Available flows are 1, 2 and 4 gallons per hour (GPH). Recommended operating pressure is 30 PSI. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

I live in the desert so drip irrigation works well for us. I use these to water my windbreak oleanders. I like the adjustable lever on top. Very good value for the money. I totally happy with these.

There is an error with the listing you will receive a 2 GPH emitter. The emitter itself is of great quality and recommend.

Did not work as I expected. My expectation was that the flag drippers can control the flow from shutting off to full on. They were full on no matter what the setting.

Maybe it is my well water? Maybe not because I don’t have lime or hard water deposits anywhere else. I had 30 of these branching off a main line to water plants. Over a period of about 30 days, the volume of water they output was greatly reduced. I ended up removing them completely, and just putting in Quarter inch straight adapters and then just adjusting the dripper heads themselves. You may have better luck with city water.

The photo when I ordered this was of a drip emitter similar to (identical to?) the old Misti Maid drippers that you can shut off. We really liked those, so I quickly ordered several packages. What arrived was not the kind you can shut off, but just a 2 gph version of the 65201 (4 gph). Works OK but not what I was expecting.
