We bought these for a vacation in Copenhagen, staying in city center.The 2 prong adapters work fine with the outlets in our flat.The 3 prong are not compatible with the outlets here.

I went to Thailand for several weeks. Used for computers, cell phones, and ipads, no issues. I do also have a travel voltage converter to use for non-electric devices (these do not voltage convert to USA 120V).

The Brits and their former colonies have the most awkward electrical plugs on the planet. Big, clunky, hard to pack. And they're not even all the same. The Great Britain plug won't work in Africa or (I believe) India. So pay attention before you travel.Before going to southern Africa, I bought this adapter and another with the same overall design (3 round pins), but smaller dimensions. This is the one that worked in South Africa and Namibia. I never found a receptacle that fit the smaller adapter; my guess is that is works in India, or maybe Kenya - somewhere I have never been (yet). Anyway, this is the one you need in South Africa or Namibia. Get it.
