After germination thin best starts to 1 per mound. Canta- loupes love sun and heat; but will benefit from a top layer of mulch to keep soil moist. During growth and fruiting, water regularly at the base of the plant to keep the foliage dry. During ripening reduce watering so there is a slight drought. Trim flowers and smaller fruits to encourage bigger melons.

So important to grow your own non-GMO fruits & veggies! I started in small clay pot and sprouted pretty quickly in a greenhouse. Can’t wait to harvest this fruit!

Seeds grew well and we have harvested 6 melons, and they are delicious. The size of the cantaloupes was all the same. These are not jumbo. They are small in size.
