Received this chest quickly. Packed well. Looks great. Super affordable. So many uses...storage, coffee table, occasional bench. Lightweight but fairly sturdy. Built with seagrass, maybe with cardboard layer.... over a wood frame with thin white lining. Makes it sound cheesy..but it really is a pretty and fairly substantial chest. I would say you get a little more than what you pay for!! Will likely purchase another one. Well worth it. Hope this helps.

is very nice product and 'different' which is why I had to get it from amazon.com as opposed to .co.uk. it came from usa (apparently) so I had to pay potential fee for customs though I do wonder as it arrived within two days!! how did it arrive so quickly? anyways I was impressed with the service and the product. I plan to either use for storing bedding and blankets but keep it on my landing as a 'furniture' item because it is nice to look at ; or my original idea of in hallway, to store shoes. since still doing up hallway it is being kept safe in its box but is very nice quality and I love the shape which gives it its originality.

I love Wicker and rattan furniture but this is not worth the price. I have tried to send it back for a refund with no luck.

Using as a toybox in the living room. Lightweight and easy to open. Great size for a toy chest. Also is a nice piece of furniture at the end of the couch (we have it at theend of a deep couch with hinges next to the armrest). Also better price than a quality chest intended for toys. Could easily hold blankets, pillows, etc.

Overall it works with the aesthetic in the room I got it for, so that’s the value for me. It is a decent size and nice shape. The outer material is raffia paper and easily damaged if used daily. It should last as a show piece but over priced for quality.

Attaching a picture of what our chest looks like after almost five years of use. It has been very functional and has served our purpose well, but just the act of opening and closing it to get shoes out has done this amount of damage over the years. So, a workable solution for storage, but not one you'll be passing down to your kids! On the issue of material, ours is definitely not made out of paper. It is made out of some kind of dried plant fiber. But the current product may not resemble what was sold five years ago. I may purchase another one of these, since it worked okay, but I'm going to search competing products for something the same size but sturdier. I do like that it is lined. It keeps dirt from shoes from falling through to the floor beneath.

Is the fiber supposed to be like paper? Or was it just not treated properly? The exterior looks and feels very cheaply made. The interior is good though, and it was packaged well. I chose to keep it out of convenience, but would not recommend to other buyers due to it being overpriced for what it is.
