I own several tools by OMT and they are usually fairly sturdy, especially my impact rated hex and triple square sockets. I use them with my air tools all the time and they hold up great. But there is also not really a "mechanism" like in these pliers. And while I love having complete sets of something in a blow molded case where everything is neatly organized, this set is simply not a heavy duty snap ring pliers set. There are all kinds of variations and sizes in there and as others mentioned the handles slide off too easitly, I wouldn't trust these with certain types of snap rings, especially the ones like you have holding in a wheel bearing. Medium duty and below is where it's at for these.

Quality tools that work just as expected.Normally bend the tips on these but this set is holding up well.

This is the snap ring plier set I've always wanted. I'm not a pro, just a DIYer, but I've often been in the middle of a project thinking "darn... wish I had pliers for these". I've launched many snap rings into oblivion while trying to push them off with a screwdriver and pliers. This set gives me a wide range of sizes and styles to handle snap rings properly. The case is not the highest quality, but it should last a good long time anyway. It'll keep the set together at any rate.

I have a Channel lock brand snap ring plier, but the tips have to be changed for the different sizes of snap rings. This set pretty much covers all the sizes I need with no tooling changes needed. A simple thumb screw changes the pliers from and outside snap ring plier to an inside snap ring plier. I recommend if you need snap ring pliers for your tool set.
