This is a really good hydraulic testing kit for home mechanics or shade tree mechanics. It has a good variety of gauges and everything is well made. It definitely gets the job done OR it will certainly get you started.I'm not a big fan of the carrying case. I've already lost a clip on mine, so do be aware you need to be extra careful with it.

Good starter kit or an add on for extra gages and connectors for more detailed testing. Everything seems to be well made and leak free. The only issue I have is a small one with the plastic case. The hoses fall out every time you open it. Maybe add a strap? It makes them really hard to get back in and close the case at the same time. Yes, small issue but it is really annoying.

This is a well made kit, with the fittings needed to test hydraulic pressure on equipment from the most popular manufacturers. It provides glycerin filled quality gauges, which give accurate readings up to 9000 psi. The 5' hoses provided allow you to place them where they can be seen from the cab/controls on most equipment. It was tested on a ASV (Cat) skidsteer, and a John Deere 310 backhoe. The quick connect fit perfectly. The kit includes a variety of o-ring boss (UNF) fittings. The lines are very small diameter, and appear fragile, but they seem to be the standard in test kits now, and are much easier to route/handle than full size hoses, which are usually rated 4k psi or less for most mobile equipment applications, anyway. It comes in a nice blow molded case, but if you want to avoid constantly dealing with loose hoses, mark the bottom of the case "TOP", and open it upside down. The Gauges and fittings stay securely in place, and gravity keeps the hoses in their track.

Great set, super high quality. Comes in a very sturdy plastic set with fitted very firm foam insert with hoses, and adapters. It's a very complete set to test hydraulic systems on any equipment. Will be testing my tractor for leaks, I'm very happy so far with what I see, it's exactly what I was looking for.

The gauges are great quality. Glycerin filled with a burst disc, they should be safe to use and long lasting. A good selection of basic connectors are included that should allow you to do limited testing on many hydraulic components and systems. Not a lot of info on the burst strength of the hoses. They should be good on most low to medium pressure systems. Great for checking relief valve settings which seldom go over 3200 psi on mobile equipment. Anything above that would require that the burst pressures of the hoses be verified. This is a great kit for the shop or truck.

The Orion Motor Tech Hydraulic Pressure Test Kit is a decent set for shade-tree mechanics such as myself. I don't think it would hold up to regular use, primarily because of the small plastic hoses. I will be careful not to damage them because I think even minor damage, kinking. etc. could make them unsafe for the pressures involved.One thing I was a little disappointed in was that there are no NPTF adapters. Some of my equipment uses NPTF threads. It's really my fault for not reading the product description more carefully.I'll be using this set to locate the source of a hydraulic drift problem on my loader. Down the road, I see other applications for both my existing equipment and some I intend to build.I won't be using this equipment without the proper PPE.Overall, I think this is a good value.

Troubleshooting hydraulic issues can be a problem without a good set of pressure gauges, so I thought I would give this kit a try. Excellent choice. These gauges are well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. Comes with a good set of adapters that cover the most common sizes. Includes a nice plastic case to keep everything together and organized. If you work with hydraulics, you need this. This is a professional level tool. Highly recommend. 5 stars.
