Ortis Men's Cotton Cushion Crew Socks Moisture Wicking Breathable Thick Warm Thermal for Athletic Heavy Duty Work Boot

TLDR: these socks seem to last a long time, are comfortable, don’t stick to sweaty feet, and are overall a good purchase.Purchased February 7thFor a frame of reference I’m 5’9 and weight 211lbs, my foot size is about a 10 wide or 10 1/2 depending on the shoe. I average about 8,500 steps per day and sometimes I’ll have 15k+ steps on a very busy day. I’ve been looking for a comfortable pair of socks that last and won’t get holes after the first month of wear. Maybe it’s ridiculous to expect socks to last longer than a year but that’s exactly what I’m looking for. In comparison I’ve used socks from Walmart (Hanes, Reebok, Wrangler and Dickies) from what I remember the Reebok brand was the only one with more polyester than cotton. Here’s my way too in depth review about socks.Just opened the pack and wore them for the first day. I have a bit of a system going where I’m wearing them unwashed fresh out the bag, and then wearing a different pair straight from the bag to a NORMAL wash cycle (load with several other clothes including pants, shirts and towels on warm setting) because let’s be honest, who washes only “delicates” especially as a man who’s only “delicates” would be underwear, socks and some nicer shirts/whites.So here is the first initial review of these socks.Straight from bag(no wash before wearing):they’re very comfortable, plush and thick(ish), doing a stretch test you can not see past the stitching which you can on each of the other mentioned socks. That surprised me because of how not thick they seemed but i guess the way they stitched it they have everything covered. Putting the socks on it felt very smooth and immediately gave me a sensation of those lotion infused socks but I know those are often more polyester. So that had me worried on how much cotton there actually is. After a 12 hour shift and 8,500 steps my socks pulled off with NO HASSLE. Thats amazing as I’m used to having to wrestle off other socks. I found the sock to have a “hot spot” where you can tell there might be a hole that forms eventually, that being my big toenail. That’s unfortunate but hopefully they’ll last.Straight from wash to wearing:So they appear to have shrunk! But they still fit perfectly on my feet. They don’t feel tight, they don’t feel worn out, they don’t feel less plush. Once they’re put on they look exactly the same! The hot spot was also on today. Maybe I need to get 10.5 boot size.April 9As part of reviewing I tried to limit my sock usage to 3 pairs which I wear maybe twice a week for work alternating but not truly keeping track. I finally got 2 socks to get holes in them from my big toe. From that time frame I’d say that’s a whole lot of torture. So in my mind if you don’t abuse them like I did you should have a long long use time out of the socks before they rip.Overall I love these socks-as days or months go by I’ll be updating this review

These socks look good, feel comfortable, and wear well. With the recent unusually cold weather we've had here, I'm glad they got here so fast as they are warm for light cold weather. They are also a great price!

For the past twenty years I have been purchasing Nike athletic socks. I have played basketball, run, hiked, cycled, and played tennis in them. However, in the last ten years I have noticed that the white athletic socks were becoming flimsy. I would buy four bags of a three pack which equals 12 pairs of socks. After three months the socks would sag down to my ankles and would begin to tear apart. My last order was in January, and after one wash the socks felt like tissue paper. I found the Ortis socks on Amazon and the reviews were good. I received six pairs of the Ortis socks in white and I am on my fourth pair of wearing them at night with Olukai cotton slippers. They feel great: slight compression that helps a sprained ankle I have, they stay up and do not sag, thickness is good, at a good price. I have not washed them yet, so I will come back with another review. So far I am very happy with these.

I need to replace my sock supply. Was kind of shocked how expensive multi packs of socks had gotten. Just like everything else the last 4 years!!! The pricing on these was very good. And I’m very impressed with the fit and cushioning . The grayish color goes well with my grey footwear too. They also are quite thick so when winter arrives I’ll be set. I’m an over the road truck driver and will be ordering another pack very soon to complete my supply

Awesome socks. They fit and wear great evening in work boots on your feet all day. This is second time ordering them and will definitely order again as needed. Last ones have lasted me for over 3 years.

Great socks. They've taken the place of all my other socks.I bought them originally ahead of a four-day workshop in which I'd be walking 5-7 miles a day. I searched "walking socks," and these came up.They proved to be simply superb. Between them and quality walking shoes, I had zero trouble, no problems with my feet, absolutely none, where others were complaining of blisters, soreness, all kinds of things, at the close of each workshop day.So I never went back to other socks. These are simply great, great socks.

Love these socks! My last order lasted over two years before the toes developed holes. These are exactly the same and fit my size 14 wide feet!
